its Judge RINDER Terry

if you are going to start a thread at least get the guys name right!
It's ROBERT Reinder katt.

If you're going to start correcting other people for getting names wrong, at least get it right yourself!

fully aware of his first name thank you

I was pointing out Terry's misspelling of his last name which ISNT Reinder - its Rinder

Well I think Reinder looks better written down Rinder looks like something to do with bacon or cheese. If people who supposedly know his first name say he's called Judge I'm going to call him Judge Baconcheese for the rest of the series

Should we all have a thread and then we needn't interact with anyone? Seems contrary to the idea of a discussion forum and more like broadcasting to merge like this 🤔

Yes, if we all created mass amounts of pointless threads, flood the forum and then continually bump them for attention.

I do see that but blaming Terry for attention seeking is a little bit like blaming choccy digestives... They're just there. He's just there. We're not compelled to nibble

Oh I agree, I rarely enter into the car crash, but (at its worst) half the front page is flooded with them then it's just overload. Which is why the mods (in their infinite wisdom) merged all the threads in the first place

For me, it's not even that really - it's more that behaviour in which anyone else would result in an invitation to think about what you had done with a trip to the DS nawty step and a bit of a doing over with the banning stick seems to be encouraged or at least ignored <shrugs>

Just a reminder that we all have to follow community guidelines which include not discussing other posters.

And thank you mods 😀

To me, Terry's threads aren't that annoying. They're certainly a lot less irritating than those really "interesting" (ie pointless) polls inundating the first page: "Who should have won in 2013?", "What's your favourite 4th contestant ever?", etc

They don't annoy me either Vic'sMum and I'm a little concerned to see the mods act against a poster in this way, presumably at the behest of a group of fellow posters. Tweaks my sense of fairness...

Same here- it feels mean-spirited and a bit gangy-uppy. There are various posts and posters I don't like on DS, but I just ignore them. Live and let live, and don't sweat the small stuff.

Mods mod, it's what they do.
We have no knowledge of what has gone off in Mod Towers, how many requests/warnings/ultimatums gone past their deadline. If there wasn't deemed to be an issue, then nothing would have been done.

They don't bother me <anymore> in themselves, but the rule flouting is possibly something the Mods needed everyone to know where they stand on before the series proper gets underway and things veer towards the busy and tetchy.
