Yes. She's trying to personalise it too much and be all charisamtic like Davina. Trouble is it comes over as showing off. Davina was getting too over the top towards the end and this happened with her too.
Emma's nowhere near there yet, imo. Quote:
Oh, that's harsh! I don't like Emma's voice, but she's much nicer than Davina. Both are rubbish presenters and (especially) interviewers, but Emma is much less objectionable.

Tonight's highlights reminded me of another thing I don't like about Emma as a BB presenter: the way she acts like almost any twist, no matter how tried or questionable, is wonderful and exciting.

It's very shrill and shouty.
I know she has to be heard above a rowdy audience but the microphone is for that purpose! |

The only thing that bothers me about her talking is when she suddenly sounds Northern, but only for one word out of a sentence. Like "dance" or "last".
Not saying it's bad to be Northern, just weird that it's only for certain words. ![]()

Watching Emma fumble - and Brian before her- reminds us of how good Davina was.

I know she has to be heard above a rowdy audience but the microphone is for that purpose! AJ is equally irritating what with the accent and the speech impediment. She sounds as though she has a mouthful of marbles |

You're not alone. I've noticed this as well. Maybe she's from Leeds?

I, along with the majority of respondents to your poll, do not have a problem with Emma's voice. I like her enthusiasm. I like her accent - she is from the midlands originally for those southerners who are unable to distinguish one accent from north of Warford from another.
I also like AJ's accent. An Essex accent OTOH.... |
