Thanks for all the links! Agree with everyone's comments.

Bill Nye tweeted yesterday that he and Tyne were headed to NY so he can attend a wedding. He said he wasn't sure he could rehearse with only 20% of quad tendon.

And yet... I recall reading not long ago that some sports star would be back in just a couple of days because they were injecting ultrasound into his tendon? A new method that allows for rapid healing. OTOH, this doesn't make it sound quite so simple.

Bill's video views have come crashing to earth. After reaching stratospheric heights with 3.3 million views, his week 2 video has 9,895 views, with Corbin, Amber, Nicole/Snooki, Christina and Elizabeth all with more--in some cases far more--and with Brant only 500 views behind.

Note to edy who remarked on: Julianne's Emmy dress: Finally found who picked that dress, or at least had a hand in it: Anita Patrickson tweeted she was getting excited for the Emmys ahd that she was dressing the cutest brother and sister duo in town and posted an Instagram collage.

She feels betrayed? Did she just get into show business five minutes ago?

LOL. Who knows if she really said that. Unless I hear directly from the person I take it with a grain of salt.

However....... if she did say that........my thoughts exactly. Did she not know this is a REALITY show? Why on earth would they owe her anything?

Dancefan8001 you crack me up!

Even if his knee wasn't injured...the novelty was wearing off and I don't think he would have gone as far as Andy Dick did last season.

It seems fairly certain that he probably won't be dancing. I'm surprised the producers haven't strung this along like they did with Dorothy Hamill last season.

Good point. I would have been interested to see how long he lasted compared to Andy Dick or Cloris Leachman, but now it looks like we'll never find out. Which may actually spare his feelings; at first he said he was "in it to win it."

btw finally watched the tape from Monday night, and the 3 college girls who drove all the way down from Santa Barbara just to see Bill Nye--the blonde in the white dress who said she was such a big fan--were seated directly behind Bill Nye in the first part of the show! She must have been so thrilled! They were on camera a lot, which is why I'm fairly certain it wasn't any number on their ticket (as per the excuse) but their young good looks that got them taken to the front of the line and put in those seats. Not a criticism--all shows do it, politicos do it and I probably would too--merely an observation.

And I misspoke about whose black fabric strips on the white shirt Derek reached over to feel--it was Sasha's, not Jack's.

Think Bill Nye will survive this week unless he gets a disastrous score like 10 points. Next week he is in danger.

Star magazine has a big two-page feature in its latest issue, "DWTS Secrets & Scandals."

Most of it is gossip about their pasts, not particularly relevant here--Amber was rejected by American Idol, etc.

Only one is about the dance couples this season.

"Elizabeth Berkley - Big Blowup On The Horizon

Right from the start, it was clear things weren't going to go well for Elizabeth and partner Valentin Chmerkovskiy when he told her that he was more of a fan of her former Saved By The Bell costar Tiffani Thiessen. The actress, 41 looked annoyed.

But show insiders say that was just one small example of their dislike for each other. "Elizabeth and Val do not get along at all," says the insider. "In fact they can't stand each other. It's very tense at all times between them." The source says both of them are Type A personalities and fight for control. "Elizabeth is a very strong-willed woman and and hates how flirty and cocky Val is with women." At least she's happy when she leaves the set. The actress has been married for almost 10 years to Greg Lauren and is the mom of son Sky Cole, 14 months.

Thought Elizabeth and Val got on ok, he can be forceful in his views, but other than that they seem to be getting along. Haven't noticed her Type A personality coming to the fore, perhaps that's what she needs to give her performance some spark.

I doubted it too until I saw this video.

At the 3-minute mark here, Val says, "You know how intense I am? I am? Imagine she's more intense than me. She interjects, "No, you've met your match. We're both fire signs." Val goes on to say "She is, at times, way more intense than me. That, that's very uncomfortable."

He goes on to say, "Yesterday we had a whole conversation about how you need to be my yang (yin?)," that he was super picky and she needed to be the opposite, laid back.

I think that a good pro should be willing to adapt their teaching methods to suit their celeb.

BIB: Shouldn't it be a bit opposite though? Shouldn't he also be able to adapt to the celeb he is teaching?

Eeew. The body language between them is awful. He seems to have real antipathy! I can see that she's uptight and intense, but she's also trying to show and articulate a bond, while he's shying away from her and emphasizing what's wrong. She puts her arm round him and tries to look at him and he turns away and crosses his arms. (An armchair expert, I am - but you don't need any expertise to interpret that ).

She looks like hard work, but I agree with what others said and think he's the one who has to make the greater effort to find a way through. Feel a bit sorry for them both though.

Hmm awkward body language, I asked earlier on in the thread, if he can take it as well as dish it out, er no by the looks of this interview. He seems to want to be praised almost as if it should be accepted as his due, but he's not one to reciprocate is he. He says Elizabeth is anxious just before the performance, but shows no empathy or sympathy. Can see why Elizabeth and Val are lacklustre on the dance floor must be draining to be in this partnership. Interesting that he doesn't like his own character trait magnified in Elizabeth. A body language expert would have a field day with these two.

He comes across as someone, that if he likes you, he likes you, but if he doesn't, he could make things uncomfortable to be in his presence. Totally different scenario with Kelly.

This is getting painful to watch.
