Feel sad for Mark. He looked pretty down. I think Christina's dresses/dance moves could have been a little less sex kitten over the weeks. Perhaps that put off some viewers.
I was impressed by Snooki. She's improving a lot. Not really warmed to her partner. Val is probably the least likable pro since his loathsome brother left. He makes my skin crawl. Elizabeth was poor, probably the worst on the night. Brant continues to be dull as dish water. Thought he was over marked but i've thought that every week. I really don't like Tony. He's always been a boring and bitter moaner whose choreography is useless. How he's still on the show i'll never understand. It seems his bad attitude is rubbing off on Leah (although she was a little underscored to be fair). |

I felt uncomfortable with everyone's sob story last night. I'd much rather see the practice footage and how the pro and celeb interact and what kind of week they have had more than anything "cooked up" by the producers. While I do think the celebs are truthful the producers milk it for all its worth. Adam Carolla said they ask a stream of questions and then edit to make a story arc.
IMO anyway It always comes down to what they think will entice the viewers to switch from The Voice to hear their hard luck or sob stories family stories, etc. etc. to hearing the stories the celebs have over on DWTS. |

Corbin and brant wil both do very well imo. Leah qs could be fun but I think that she will probably be eliminated next week; between her and Bill .Oooh I expect a very spicy samba from Amber. Top of the leaderboard will be either brant or corbin . I see Elizabeth struggling a bit with the chacha. |

I have no idea who will be after last night.
I thought it would be Bill because his low scores for his samba. But if not him then Leah because it seemed she was not connecting with the public. I was wrong on both counts. Maybe next week as you say either one of them will go. I do think Corbin and Snooki are locks for the final. Everyone else is a wild card. |

does anybody think Jack has a chance of getting to the finals?
I am really enjoying him, and his partnership with Cheryl, and I wasnt expecting to. He has a real grace and elegance to his dancing. |

I'm not surprised that Christina left. She was always miserable and thought she was better than she was.
Mark's choreography has been incredibly naff for quite a while. I think he's a good dancer and choreographer when he's at his best, but he needs a serious attitude adjustment. |

He shows improvement, strong story, very good chemistry with Cheryl, very likeable, connect with the audience, not the best dancer this season but for a novice dancer he does very well....Jack can make it to the 3rd or 4th place imo.The top 2 are going to be Corbin and Amber. After Leah, Bill leave, its going to be very difficult to predict who is going to be 3rd, 4th or 5th place. And also Brant, Jack, Snooki all have very good dances left so it can go either way .

Thanks for the link Karma; I watched it earlier. Wow I was so shocked at Gleb's in this clip ![]() .; shocked in a good way lol.I always saw him as boring , quiet.. but he is actually very level-headed, really opinionated and honest to a fault. Actually he is the most brutally honest male pro/troupe member they had on that show so far imo . They were times were I was like: " Gleb shut up you still have a contract with Abc, dont want you to get in trouble " ...Woah...boy he definitively didn't mince his words. I wished they could have him every week. I feel like some of their guests are too PC (politically correct ) sometimes. And what he said about Carrie Ann ![]() ![]() . You Go Gleb !!!

Can't agree that he expected her to give him good marks because of their related past. Think he expected a fair critique of his dance partner. Julianne put it out in the public domain by blurting it out on DWTS, so how can it be private! Think it was fair he had the right to reply, as far as I can see he didn't descend into being petty or childish. Just said he thought it was an uncalled/unfair remark. Think if you are standing in front of someone on national TV and they say something that takes you aback, it isn't always easy to mask your feelings.
Now I am a Julianne fan, but thought it wasn't nice to say that to Mark, in front of an audience. Whether it is true or not seems a bit uncalled for. Maybe it didn't help Christina with the votes, but I think it is also down to Christina too, cant say she made too much of an impression on me. I would have prefer Brant, Leah or Elisabeth to go over Christina but I don't think Christina's attitude to judges comment helped saying yeah yeah yeah thanks made it seem that she never listened as well as Julianne's comments. |

Agree. Julianne's comments were unfair & personal as all her comments were directed to Mark not Christina but my biggest problem was that she said that Christina was portraying the same side to her each week then what about Amber? Although I like Derek and i like Amber on Glee I find Amber's dances boring as they are similar and haven't been wowed since her cha cha (her jive would have been better if she had put heels on). She is always wearing dark colours & dancing some hip hop style of the dances. I agreed with Len over the foxtrot as for the excuse that he told Amber & she wanted to do it anyways well he is the pro and the excuse about the music well then change the music.
I would have prefer Brant, Leah or Elisabeth to go over Christina but I don't think Christina's attitude to judges comment helped saying yeah yeah yeah thanks made it seem that she never listened as well as Julianne's comments. I agree, that I would have liked Leah, then Elisabeth to go before Christina. I wondered with Julianne and the other judges are they ad libbing or roughly speaking from a script? I know Julianne said, that to Mark, but I do have doubts that it is all off the cuff. Let's face it each week they are looking for ratings and to slip that in, it did the trick, it got us talking. Sometimes wonder if there is tinkering afoot, a bit like Tony with his puppet strings

You Go Gleb !!! saying about Tony's duff choreography, making her mad. I've got to agree it wasn't very good at all and Suri not into Snooki, with you there. What's happening am I in a parallel universe!!!!! Perhaps they have listened to us lol The only one still saying the same, about everyone being good is Anna zzzzzzzzzzz.

I'm halfway through and I like Gleb a lot, don't think we got to see much of him with Lisa, as she did a lot of the talking! He's probably got more confidence and a bit pissed he's back in the troupe lol. Also the host sorry forgot your name

I think Julianne's comments must have hurt them, so I do feel sorry for Christina and Mark. I haven't particularly taken to her, but I'd rather watch her than Elizabeth. I thought Leah might be the one to go...
Mess ups with the voting lines aside, what could the show do to make it work better given the challenges of time zones and no results show? It seems wrong this way, but I can't see an obvious answer ![]() Out of interest, I know the voting opens at the start of the show (for the following week), but when does it close? |

Eliminate a couple at the start of the show instead of the end, so they're combining the previous weeks judges scores and votes? It's a bit tough after all the training they've done but they could still perform their dance to allow the other couples a chance to breath before putting in their performances.
They'd have to rehearse, camera block, get props etc etc all the while pretending the couple they already know are being eliminated are not really going to be dancing third or last or whatever - yikes! As things are currently, I suppose having them dance with at least a very, very slim chance to alter the outcome has it's merits too. I'd like to know if the judges know how the vote stands at the start of the show . Saying that one of the female celebs was set to go must have influenced them somewhat...

Yes, I could see that being fairer. I have a feeling this is what they did in the first season (?), and I vaguely remember it being mentioned as a possible format when they announced they were getting rid of the results show.

Isn't it the previous week's public vote combined with the current week's judges' scores?
One advantage of eliminating someone at the beginning of the show would be that the public and judges votes would be for the same performance. In other ways, though, I can see it being very tough on them all... |
