I question myself as to why I feel that way and think "okay what is my evidence" and it is that her jive was heavily promoted. There were clips, articles, several interviews on the entertainment shows about this jive and how popular she was. I felt like I might see billboard out and about with her saying to tune in and see this jive. Perhaps they were trying to promote the show itself and using the most popular dance of the evening as a the highlight. I am not sure. Shrugs.

Anyway her dance trended, it has an incredible number of views on several sites so even if she is not popular people seem interested. I think she will be safe this Monday.

This season has been a wash for me personally. Too many changes, too rushed, poor production and the voting seems all wrong. Sometimes I cannot believe it is a BBC production.

Plus I wrestle with the dilemma that the dancer I like the most is the worst dancer. I always have this thing I want to champion that regular guy down to earth celeb with absolutely no dance experience willing to put the effort in, work with his pro and if I like his personality then I can root for him. Because that is when I enjoy dwts the most. It goes beyond the pleasure of watching good dancing. I posted a while ago that in the US men are afraid to dance because of looking foolish or unmasculine. So try doing that in front of millions.

At the same time feeling like it is only right for the better dancer to take the trophy and I want both types of celeb in the competition to keep it interesting. All duffers intolerable and all with previous training boring. The mix means you will some great finals but interesting in the beginning of the season.

The last time I felt that way with wanting a struggling dancer to stay in was Ty Murray because I liked his effort, personality and how he worked with Chelsie. This year it is Bill E. and Emma, dad dancing but some real effort put into it and fun to boot. I know that is not p.c. and I should be throwing my votes to Elizabeth or whoever dances best for the night but none of the celebs make me smile the way he does nor do I get as much enjoyment. It was the same way with Ty. The quality of Gilles dancing was much better and the Gilles fans were baffled and angry I might add that people were voting for Ty. As James Jordan would say vote for the dancing. Usually the bad dancers I don't connect with so it is no problem to get behind the good dancers like last season Zendaya and Kellie. I liked both of them.

Anyway, I am think I am gong to quietly watch the season. I am going to enjoy Bill and Emma and Jack and Cheryl for however long they last and the hoot that Snooki is. I have a feeling it will be a Corbin, Elizabeth and Amber final and Snooki will give them a run for the money. It all comes down to the freestyle and if Karina can choreograph a good one he will shine. He dances for the Macy's dances that they often feature on DWTS so I think it will be a spectacular number.

I'm only just managing to watch last week's episode now. Corbin & Karina were only in hold for about 12 seconds or so of their Foxtrot. Same with Bill and Emma's VW. Len would have made a big fuss about that on Strictly. At least he said something about Amber & Derek's Foxtrot, which didn't have much Foxtrot content in it at all. I do enjoy DWTS but the different rules can be a bit confusing and frustrating.

Snooki and Bill are definitely my favourites this season. I know Bill isn't the best but his partnership with Emma is lovely, and Snooki keeps surprising me. I'd definitely like to keep watching them.

Agree, the show used to be superb and classy I cannot see why they think these changes are better

This season is slightly dampening I think. Perhaps its because of the tactical judges scoring each week. Valerie Harper although she was not the best she deserved to stay on the show. She was fantastic and so inspirational.

I thought Corbin was quite masculine - nice His lines suffered though and Karina let him down big time. Absolutely NONE OF IT was in ballroom hold. Is that a first? Is she trying to sabotage him?

All of Amber's dances are much the same; she can dance and she does have rhythm, but her size makes it impossible for her to dance properly.

Do Len and Derek not really get on?

Yes they do normally, Len didn't like the content of Derek's choreography this week. Len got annoyed because of all the boos from the audience and then Tom piled in too. Don't think on this show, they can give a fair critique of the dances. We have Carrie Ann gushing, she loves everything and everyone and Bruno's not far behind. Len mostly agrees with them but occasionally dislikes something. Think that's thrown in to say we are judging, if only for one celeb per show. Totally inconsistent and overinflated scores, Find the judging bizarre moreso than previous years, At least on SCD they are allowed to be honest in their critique, on DWTS they like it sugar coated generally. So when Len says something he gets shouted down.

I thought Amber and Derek's last couple of dances have been a bit samey (if that's a word).

What the chuff was with the music choices this week? Poor Bill and Emma, how the hell they managed to pull off a Tango to that music was amazing!

I thought wtf, talk about handicapped from the off. Still Emma did her best with the choreography, but it made it harder for Bill to do the dance. It was quite fun routine, which is an antithisis of a Tango. Loving Emma and her 'buffay', giving the correct pronunciation in a Brummie accent.

Even with the bizarre music, I still preferred Bill & Emma's Tango to Brant & Peta's more dramatic one. I also absolutely loved Jack & Cheryl's Paso, I think he's my favourite of all the male celebs because of his absolute lack of any "performance" related skill.
Corbin & Karina's VW was something out of this world, not quite sure how much VW there was in it though but it was a real performance and there were some lovely moments. I agreed with Len though, not enough in hold.

I think my fav performance on the night was Amber's Samba though, just so much party feeling. I also thought Nicole finally got the recognition she deserves for her lovely Quickstep routine.

In the US most people do pronounce buffett bah-fay and not buff-fet but Jimmy Buffett pronounces his name Buff-it. He is a hugely popular artist and he does laid back songs about being on the beach just relaxing and chillin' out. It was comical because you know Bill does not expect his little Emma to know who Jimmy Buffett is. .

I enjoyed Bill and Emma too - not so much Jack, thought it was one of his weaker dances, his frame, footwork and arms weren't the best.

Corbin and Karina, thought it had elements of paso in it, interspersed with bits of VW. It really was more a theatrical performance, rather than a proper VW..

Elizabeth and Val - she stepped it up this week but still zzzzzz for me, dont know why, just still find her partnership with Val a mismatch.

Leah and Tony, she has improved and looks like she has lost weight too. Still find her a bit 'poor me' which grates, she snapped out of it a bit, after seeing J Lo, lol. That lasted until the dance challenge, don't really blame her in that instance, for walking out, she knew the outcome, in all fairness.

Snooki and Sasha, actually quite enjoyed this routine although again not much hold.

Brant and Peta, good, but not deserving of the scores they were given.

Well the Switch Up Dance Challenge, what a fiddle, bet no one would have guessed that outcome, not. Thought Amber should have been called off, before Brant, she looked a bit lost at the transitions. What a surprise, those with dance experience did quite well and the ones with no experience were out first. Seems to be some tinkering still going on

The votes last week were an absolute shambles, does that mean two are booted out next week then? Felt sorry for Emma and Bill, bit of a mean trick to play on them.

I get it was a fun song, but perhaps better suited to a different dance, rather than a Tango. Just seemed a bit of a bizarre choice, because it looked like it made it harder for Bill with the music, to do the moves so sharply. Who can say, unless we see his routine with a song suited to Tango, whether he would have been better

This season it seems to be the experienced dancers versus those without experience. The surprise is that the nondancers seemed to have more buzz and public interest than those with more experience. That sort of thing creates more voter investment by giving the pooer dancers challenges where it is a given they are going to be in last place on the leaderboard.

Did you hear Lacy tell Tom that Len is her "favourite old fart" . People are split into two camps about him. Some say he is right about the lack of hold in ballroom, others say he is too old fashioned and penalizes the celeb for the pro's choreo. I even noticed some controversy with his comments about Artem's choreo for Natalie's quickstep so even SCD debates about Len.

I know. I watched it without music to see if it looked better. He said in his post interview that it was a tough dance for him.

Hey all. Not doing full thought this week so just a brief thing of the things that really annoyed me.

Amber Riley!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She cannot dance as well as some of the others and is getting preferential treatment because she is a big star from glee. Len was right, Derek just repeated the dance etc. Also the team challenge she was the worst. Its almost like they cannot say anything bad about her. Also Tom the host was channeling Brucie how he interrupted Len. What on earth LOL

As for the result I agreed with the decision but still ABC robbed us of an elimination because of technical errors. They should be running excellent service for Season 17 by now. Corbin is probably the one I want to win most now.

I am with Len TBH. Trying to modernize a Waltz etc can be extremely tacky and disrespectful to a dance I think.

They can do uptempo stuff to like Salsa, Samba etc. Carrie Ann and Bruno scoring though is ridiculous. The praise any routeen that is "different" so thats why pro's always try to do it. I think voters are not so keen.

I thought I heard Lacey tell Tom he was her favorite 'old fart' so I went back and rewatched the TiVo and that is in fact what she says. TOM is her favorite old fart.
