Suggested Weekly Issues
In order to show the longevity of our concept we developed the first five issues of Xtreme Weekly.
Issue 1 – the first issue would be based solely around Abseiling as an extreme activity. This copy would discuss how to abseil, discuss abseiling technique, give reader’s stories on their own abseiling experiences, discuss the health benefits of doing activities such as abseiling, discuss the social benefits of abseiling and it will give information on locations near the reader where they can abseil themselves.
Issue 2 – the second issue would be based around a completely different extreme activity for example, bungee jumping. The second magazine issue will describe and explain how to bungee jump, give readers stories by people who’ve done bungee jumping, contain images of extreme bungee jumping and give readers information on locations where they can do a bungee jump themselves.
Issue 3 – the third issue of Xtreme Weekly would concentrate on rock climbing. This copy would include a description and explanation of how to rock climb, discuss rock-climbing techniques and contain images of rock climbing, the most daring places to rock climb and a list of location’s near the reader where they can learn to rock climb.
Issue 4 – the fourth issue of our magazine will concentrate on BMX Biking. This issue will describe and explain how to work a BMX bike and a description and explanation of what BMX Racing consists of. This issue will include a list of the best places in the world to BMX in, locations near the reader where they can learn to do BMXing and where they can participate in BMX races. In addition to this, this particular issue of Xtreme Weekly will discuss the social benefits of participating in this activity, the health benefits of BMX biking and it will contain images of riders BMXing and our magazine will discuss BMX racing techniques.
Issue 5 – the fifth issue of Xtreme Weekly will concentrate primarily on scuba diving. It will include a description and explanation of how to scuba dive, where the best locations in the UK are for scuba diving and a list of locations where you can learn to scuba dive near you. In addition to this, Issue 5 of Xtreme Weekly will contain images of scuba divers and will include readers and experts discussing their previous scuba diving experiences as well as the benefits of learning to scuba dive such as, the experience of it, the social benefits and the benefits of participating in scuba diving as an activity for health reasons.
Further issues of Xtreme Weekly will concentrate on different activities each week such as paragliding, cave diving, mountain biking, deep sea diving, banana boating, white water rapids, paintballing, wind surfing, banana boating, kayaking, motocross and other existing extreme sports as well as a list of extreme activities which are likely to emerge in the future. We have identified that these sports and activities are all something which can be done in various different cities across the United Kingdom and we believe that creating a magazine which promotes these activities will be captivating and will interest various different readers and as a result they would purchase Xtreme Weekly.
The reason we have chosen to concentrate on a different specific extreme activity each week rather than just one particular activity continuously is to ensure the longevity of our magazine. If we offered the same thing week in week out then we believe readers would lose interest. As a result we feel advertising new activities each week and introducing readers who like to participate in extreme activities into other extreme sports and providing them with information on those particular activities is the best way forward. We firmly believe that our magazine has a diverse range of activities it can include and as a result it won’t become a stale magazine and readers will continue to be interested in Xtreme Weekly. We believe that Xtreme Weekly has longevity due to its originality – upon research we discovered that there’s nothing quite like this and that there’s an increasing demand for a magazine such as, Xtreme Weekly. Also we’ve identified that there is a gap in the market for our magazine due its lack of competition. We believe that this makes our concept unique and innovative and as a result we feel that Xtreme Weekly will survive for years to come and be profitable in the long run.
