I do too. Her little story read like fan-fiction; I wonder if that was the intent? I notice that it ends well before any actual affair, and only goes as far as flirtation and her expectations. Although she calls the story 'The Affair', she never says there was one.

I doubt that will ever see the light of day. If it does, I doubt that the Russell Brand excerpt will go any further than what we've seen. It seems like a little fantasy she gave an 'exciting' sounding title as a hook.

In terms of the title, definitely. I don't doubt that Russell flirted with her (it's what he does, jokingly), but obviously there was no 'affair' to speak of. I suspect that she thought the title would elicit public interest, but she at least managed to rein herself in before actually claiming they slept together (although the papers, I notice, are saying she said she slept with him).

I genuinely don't get the reference to Jesus. The implication is that Lauren knows secrets about Russell's sexual technique and he's no Jesus!

That blog has been sitting there since November of last year. An essay written in the manner of a lovesfick teenage diary entry.
A total fantasist who has just this side of reality fighting for some space in the world of Lauren.
She should print it out, frame it and put it alongside the other works of fiction, (the fake qualifications) on the wall of Chez Harries.
Had there been even the remotest truth in the matter I do not doubt for one minute that it would have been cashed in on straight after the fact.
I'm glad that he didnt ignore it, even though it really didnt dignify a reply.
Doubt he would ever sue though, there are some things that should be just treat with the contempt they deserve, Laurens delusions are indeed one of them, as if someone cant differntiate between what is real and what is imagination, it makes them one dangerous person to be around.

In English law, statements only qualify as defamatory if they causes a loss in the victim's trade or profession, or cause a "reasonable person" to think worse of them.
A (Lauren) is liable for saying anything to C (the readers of her blog or Twitter) about B (Russell) which would be apt to make the average citizen think worse of the latter.
I don't think anyone would think any worse of Russell for sleeping with Lauren. In fact, when it comes to Russell and sex, I really don't think people could think worse of him.
When it comes to Russell while I don't think he has been with Lauren I do think it's likely he has been with a Transsexual I also think it's very possible that he will have gone gay just because he seems the sort who would want to try everything
