I just find it so sad watching her, if she wins it will just give her false hope. people are laughing at her not with her.
All very sad..

All people on the anti-Lauren threads seem to care about is Lauren. The same comments every day too, as though no-one is changing.

How long before the people criticising her start to realise just how similar to her they are?

Agree, she has stopped being funny for me, just seems like some dotty maiden aunt from an Agatha Christie plot........and I REALLY wanted Lauren to get her wish from when she was canvassing on BBOTs the other year......

Ah, but because they're just like Lauren they will learn to. When they've finished spilling their tea.

That's part of her charm for me though, I do love a good eccentric ! What did you expect from her, for her to suddenly become worldly wise and all knowing ? Lauren is Lauren, if you don't like her then fair enough, but not liking her just because some seem to spend all their time dissing her just because she IS different is a bit lazy.
In fact some of the ones that are just constantly bitchy about her, whatever she does, are starting to remind me of Carol.

The more I see of her, the more I think she's tougher than old boots. A pro, skilled in the art of survival.

And people are plainly not just laughing at her since she was first to be saved last night. That suggests she has a lot of support from people who actually enjoy watching her.

Over the years I have championed the eccentrics that have entered the house, the different, the outcasts but Lauren is none of those naturally. I think we see a person acting a part all the time, she is so contrived it's not funny or endearing at all.

She threw Courtney under the train quick enough just because she didn't pine for her enough !

Selfish, self absorbed and a liar too.

I enjoy watching her too lexi. I think she's a great housemate and would like her to win. She's the only housemate apart from Carol who has entertained me this series. She's also getting a lot of negative posts that I think are over the top.

Perhaps she should have been nicer about people on her appearances over the years then because her nicey act doesn't seem to be working on me having seen how nasty she usually is.

I don't doubt that she has that side of her in her, but then so do they all and most of them are very good at hiding it. In fact she has shown that she can turn in a second. I still think she's good value as a housemate though and I prefer both her and Carol to those that are hiding their real characters and being under the radar.

I do hope you are not including me on being constantly bitchy about Lauren, because it is not so........as I said......I actually wanted her to be in it.........I looked forward to seeing her.........but she is not the same at all as she was when she was canvassing on BBOTS........that is what I remember and liked........and thought she would be the same........but she is putting on this bumbling old lady act.......which I cannot understand, as she cannot have deteriorated so fast in the last two years........it is my opinion, and is as valid as yours.......

This reminds me of Vanessa Feltz ,the second time she went in. She was quite pleasant and friendly; which is/was in stark contrast to how she was the first time she went into the house and how she usually is on BBOTS.

well if Lauren didn't care about Lauren, then nobody would, so she has to think of herself...

I generally like her but she does have a huge sense of entitlement when it comes to the show, which irks me somewhat. It's like she feels she'd owed this.

I'm not looking forward to the prospect of her winning or especially not winning.

Very true which is why she should not have got past the psych test first time round and Lauren shouldn't have this time. This feeling of a woman on the edge is not what I want to see each night, it is unsettling and just not nice viewing. I can't laugh at her or with her because she seems so tragic.

Lauren is OK, Carol, Mario, Louie and even Charlotte are more self centred, love how Lauren and Abz plod along in their own Unselfish world

It's also possible that what you are seeing is a woman coming to terms with things she's never had the chance to consider before, due to the stifling influence of her parents.
It would take great strength in anyone with a strong constitution and mind-frame to break free of such conditions anyway.
But there are times in the house when you see someone who is able to be perfectly happy with herself, and others, at least for brief moments, and you can see those moments carry her through.

For me, she has provided a lot of the best moments in the house this series, both in sane moments and utter madness.

IMO a win for Lauren would be a great gift. I suspect that even being in the final three would be also. Now if only the outside circus would find her a niche ....

A real question... What exactly does Lauren bring to the show?

I see what you are saying but would it be a great gift or something that destroyed her ? and if she doesn't win what would that do to her ?

Lauren has shown over the years that she is remarkably good at picking herself up, dusting herself down and getting back up on that horse. She is a lot tougher than people give her credit for. I think a win would make her genuinely happy but not necessarily because she has huge expectations from it, just for the achievement. Ditto if she comes in the top 3. Which I think she will.

She is far more resilient than her somewhat brittle surface suggests. I think she'll be fine either way. Well, fine, in a Lauren sense, anyway, and really, that's all that counts.

It'd be funny if Courtney beat Lauren to the win

Well I hope for her sake you are right, I still feel uneasy watching her and wonder has BB really come to this it's more like bear baiting than the BB I loved over the years.
