It makes me laugh how she has the cheek to go on about the way other people look. She needs to buy a mirror.
IMHO Carol told Courtney what she needed to hear. Courtney is incredibly selfish and didn't care about the others not getting any food. Good for Carol.

Carol is quite amusing but all her humour is at someone else's expense and humiliation. She is unnecessarily cruel and mean.
She has load of good qualities and is an intelligent woman, so why not use real wit and clever humour instead of the bitching. She is a bit of a showoff really. You know she reminds me of the awful friend or b/f who insults and belittles you in the pub in front of everyone. So you want to sink through the floor. We have all been around a Carol. Agree, although I have read this a few times about her intelligence yet have never seen any evidence to back this up
The second part is that i have never seen her use any real wit or clever humour either and the drinking/bitching just seems to be covering up for her own self confidence issues.
She is just truthful and saying it how it is, she doesn't change her mind .... I seem to remember Sophie singing her praises during the Cult of Celebrity.

What's intelligent about demeaning the likes of Charlotte for not knowing about the works of George Orwell? How is it intelligent to wind up someone like Lauren to have a go at someone like Sophie. How clever does one have to be to recruit Louis Spence as a bitching partner? How is she not a text book case of schadenfreude? With all the hilarity she allegedly provides why does she seem so damn incapable of joy.
