I don't watch Towie but maybe the ladies he knows despite having a similar image to Courtney have strong and likeable personalities too.

I dont watch it but from what ive seen like Amy Childs when she went on, they look in the mirror just as much as Courtney and so do the guys, I mean Mario was worried in his VT that hes not going to look his best and we are going to see him first thing in the morning which he wasn't happy about. The guys on Towie are just as vain. And like you say, hes hardly brain of Britain either. I just think it was a stupid comment to make considering the people he socialises with (and apparently can never keep his pants on). Kirk was another one, he said how much he loved fake looking girls with dyed hair & giant fake cartoon boobs, it just seems to go with the territory lol. Sorry if that sounds a bit stereotypical

Also look what he did for the talent show towards the start of the series. He renacted his first scene from TOWIE. All he had to do was stand there in a tight pair of pants and say 'Why would you want to go to a party when you can stay in and have this?' *cringe*

I think perhaps people are misunderstanding what "scripted reality" means.

Mario is so two faced too. While he was in that room, he was the ring leader in many ways with his slating of housemates. And yet when he goes back into the house, he said nothing.

I don't think they would be as selfish as Courtney was regarding the boiler suit task though.
The woman would have rather someone get evicted than her have to wear an outfit for a few hours. That's pretty breathtaking in his selfishness. From what i recall of Amy Child she was a bit of an air head but in no way nasty and certainly would not have refused to wear the costume.

Exactly Mario when he went in i thought i would really dislike, then he surprised me and i thought i had misjudged him... but no his true colours are slowly coming through now, he has been playing the "nice guy" but the mask is coming off now. Saying that Courtney did act selfish,but there was no need for the way him, Carol and courtney's "bestest friend" to be like they were.

i'm not suggesting otherwise.
But I understand the logic of his comment in the OP considering Courtney's behavior.

No I dont like him much either. I know Courtney was very selfish, esp after seeing her husband but I dont think shes nasty at all

Mario just seems a bit bitter towards Courtney and has even said she was rude to him but I don't recall that incident.

I'm not sure if we are seeing 'the real' anyone in the house but it does seem a bit rich coming from him. Not that I've ever watched TOWIE but I did (unfortunately) see Kirk on a previous CBB and did not like him at all.

I do believe that Courtney pulled that stunt because she wanted to be evicted. As for her constantly looking in mirrors, I'd probably do the same in that house.

I don't think so at all. if Courtney isn't able to 'feel sexy' which wearing bikinis allows her to do I honestly feel it affects her self esteem and mood.
