Minor irritation with DVD players.

Is this really worth a thread of its own? the answer would have to be no.. but still..

When you need to get a disc out the DVD player, it insists in loading it first before you can have it, this is even worse with my DVD recorder as opposed to the regular player, it loads for about 2 minutes or more when you don't want to load it, just give me the disc already!

Also well who loves having to wait for endless copyright messages and logos that stroke the companies' ego, no one! So you could save time and just watch it via VLC Media Player instead which skips them.

I rip all my DVDs to a media server. Problem solved.

Do you rip them to h.264 format so that they are as space efficient as possible?
