It looks interesting actually, I think it would be quite a twist if they actually killed her off, or she returned in a shocking way. I don't think she will die though. It's obviously a set up for a love triangle with Phil and Sharon. The scene with Sharon and Shirley in the Square hinted at that I think.

I thought shirley being nice to sharon was a sort of closure for them. It doesnt set up for the tension of her coming back

I guess, but what I meant was that if Shirley gets back with Phil, the tension will be there again because Sharon's reaction showed that she still cares about him.

Lmao Yeah, I think it would be great for the shock value, but I'm not sure the writers could be that daring.

I think phil and sharon will be together when shirley returns, its far more interesting than the other way round. I thought her reaction was so ott she doesnt even go to see him

She doesn't go to the hospital? I don't like what the writers are doing to Sharon in general. But then I don't like what they are doing to Shirley either, it could be written so much better between the 3 of them, especially with Phil in hospital.

Peggy might discourage Phil from getting back together with Sharon, she doesn't seem to like her again, even though they made up.

Sharon is more interested in jack and ronnie

I dont think sharon will be included in this peggy thing. If anything peggy would discourage him getting back with shirley after everything, peggy cares more about ben than shirley

It's a shame Sharon doesn't have many scenes but at the moment that's not so much a bad thing as she's a bit of a cow currently.

Apparently Sharon and Peggy don't have any scenes when she returns which is a shame

Understatement. She's horrible at the moment, really bad attitude. I don't remember Sharon being like this when she was around in 2004 - 2006. I linked today's episode back in 2005 and Sharon is totally different.

It would be a good twist - especially as they haven't had any storyline leaks to give it away.

As she has had a farewell party, most people would assume she had moved to Greece and shook the dust of Walford from her shoes, cutting all ties.

It would be a second good twist if Shirley's body was discovered five years down the line - especially as the prime suspect would be Phil. No one would associate Carl with her murder after all.

I would like this actually, it's quite an edgy storyline, but perhaps if her body was found a year later. It would also be good if Carly made another one off return looking for Shirley to no avail. It could be quite a shocking storyline.
