Yeah, I'm undecided which is why I haven't voted yet. It's something I've wondered for a while, Max is a good character, but maybe if he was pushed far enough...we still don't know a lot about his past, or Jack's either.
If his kids/family were in danger in some way, then I could see him coming very close.

As for his other brother, Jack, I can see it [if really pushed] actually. Just recalling the time he was up for stabbing David Wickes with Derek egging him on. There was a flicker of darkness in him I hadn't seen for ages before that [or ever since].
TL/DR Derek and Jack are more alike than Max and Derek ever were.

I think Max not walking properly is part of his character....I think Jack or Carol poked fun at him doing that one time....
They did explore his ex-copper life with Penny and his ex-wife but never since. He seems to have a blonde hair fetish it seems.
