Does Netflix go by ratings when deciding to remove series/films?
Wondering this, as it has lost the full series of Keeping Up Appearances, Harry & Paul & Reggie Perrin amongst other comedy favourites. I'm wondering whether they decide to pull series when they are not being watched enough?
Whilst this idea would seem logical, it does mean that if there are series/programmes which just a few people like they will be at the disadvantage of the majority and won't be served. I wonder if this could affect series such as "The Beauty of Maps" which might only be appreciated by a select few. Luckily BBC FOUR does try to serve minority interests. |

Most things dissappear once their licensing agreement period has come to an end.
It's then up to Netflix and the studios to come up with a new licensing deal, but depending on other parties ie LoveFilm or Sky they may not be able to get certain things back again until their licensing deals have ended. Obviously if certain things are not being watched then they won't try and get them back. |
