Do you think Jay cheating (in Eastenders) was a one-off?

Or do you think he will continue and follow in Max's footsteps. If so, Abi and Jay could be the 'NEW' Max and Tanya?

Dunno, but Max has set that impressionable young lad a terrible example.

I hope not. Jay's a good lad for the most part and made one mistake that he just wants to forget and move on from, once Abi finds out I think that'll be it for Jabi anyway, whereas Max actively looks to cheat.

I did think just that myself the other week. The pair were sitting on the couch, I think before they went on the camping trip, and I just looked at them and thought this is Max and Tanya.

There has definitely been a shift in Jays character over recent months, I've started to notice him being more commanding over Abi and the holiday showed a different side to him. We've also seen him starting to stand up to Phil more and soon he starts working for Carl, possibly leading to him taking a different direction doing more darker stuff?

I guess its the only way to give the character a storyline because him being in a relationship with Abi is rather boring and to be honest its been going nowhere for ages. As he is no longer a Mitchell he needs to be given a different direction in order for him to stay as a character on the show rather than just someone in the background who fixes cars and supports Abi with whatever Branning story in running at the time.

He will inevitably become more like Max if the actor intends to stay on the show.

This week Jay has acted how I would imagine Max would of acted when he was 18 or however old Jay is, especially the scenes with Lola.

Why did Jay blank her yesterday, him and Jay were giving the whole family dirty looks, If I was Abi, I would mash him up!

About time, I wouldn't ever want Jay to become a out and out baddie but someone like Jay needs a darker edge, I still cringe that a couple of months ago we had Dexter and AJ playing pranks on him in the Archers and Abi demanding him to give her money that he just handed over without saying anything.

I know he didn't even acknowledge Abi.

Jay made out with one girl, once, and it's killing him. Max sleeps around all the time and can lie right to his wife/girlfriend/whoever's face without even feeling an ounce of guilt.

It's a shame that they made Jay cheat, but he's certainly no Max Branning.
