Not impressed so far if honest, but she's better than some. If Rachel finds some spark then they've got much more potential.

Hi Terry. I think she put her "all" into that dance and I loved the hip action! Pasha is definitely a good teacher.

I thought the same Pippa, I agree with you Rachel did look as though she put her all into that dance, the hip action was bionic, and as you say Pasha as a teacher cannot be faulted.

Do you feel that the judges comments were a bit harsh and unfair though?

Posters look at people like Sophie and Natalie who have some natural dance talent plus artistic performance experience and in one case training and are disappointed when someone with no dance ability or training, like Rachel, is not as good. She's probably got no more ability than any of us viewers.

Imagine going out on stage to dance in front of a live audience and and millions of viewers when you have no background in it. It might be exciting but it would also be nerve wracking. (I have actually been on Countdown myself and I didn't get nervous but that was because I had years of practice beforehand and I am a tournament scrabble player, I wouldn't fancy proving myself as a dancer !).

Yes, Rachel's Salsa was a bit rough but I thought that for a non-dancer she did OK. Will she become a good dancer and get to the final ? Probably not, but she might last eight weeks or so and good luck to her.

I looked forward to seeing the lovely Rachel appearing on the show, but I must say that I have thus far been disappointed with her performance.
It said in her VT that she is a bit of a tomboy, and it does show in her dance.

I do hope she improves over the coming weeks.

Rachel reminds me of my daughter. Bright, pretty, lovely figure, has rhythm but does not do sexy dancing.

Almost feels like Rachel is afraid of letting go and being out of control. As a net result she looks like she has not enough control when she is dancing. Because dancing IS all about control.

I find her very endearing, like a newborn baby deer. Especially the Pasha combination, very cute together appearance wise (and I love Pasha anyway).

I'm hoping she'll somehow wow us with her next latin, but it's not likely. On the plus side, she is defininitely trying and putting her all in, and I'm sure if nothing else there should be some lovely elegant ballroom dances we can expect.

I can't dance, too inhibited. Rachel is showing signs of being self conscious.

The self conscious thing with Rachel is a problem pinkknight, I have noticed this too, do you think Pasha will be able to help her or is it a lost cause?

Rachel needs a couple of double vodkas inside her before she hits the dance floor to loosen her up a bit...well it works for me anyway
