What a best friend

I find it amazing how Phil would even meet Shirley's demands when all she is doing is threatening to go to the police with the knowledge that Phil covered up Hev's murder. If she admitted to this, she would also be charged with covering up Hev's murder, so Phil must be even more stupid than I thought. Shirley is a very selfish woman, she would not give herself up just to get revenge on Phil. If he hadn't met her demands, it would have been the end to her blackmailing him.

From what I read I think Phil and Shirley finally get closure this week, she goes to the hospital and confessing to nicking his money and she think his unconscious but his awake and he doesn't yell but tells her he wants her to be happy, probably a parting gift but then Carl does her in so we might be looking at her being dead who knows but her stealing money is low she lets her friend down there is no excuse for that.
