What a piece of work

Back at him for what? If it is not about the cover up, and if she didn't want him to pay her rent then all she had to say was "stop paying my rent, if I get chucked out it won't be your problem", I have been around for a while now but I have never heard of someone blackmailing another person for helping them out !!!!

Agree Shirley did wrong, but Phil's a career criminal so it doesn't bother me. Good luck to her and I hope she gets away with it. Phil should be more worried about Carl trying to kill him. Shirley's never been a saint so I don't know why anyone's surprised.

Shirley is the worst thing about EastEnders at the moment, and Linda used to be a capable actress but just seems bored and it comes across on screen, get rid

Shirley is a bitter, desperate, gutter residing, child abandoning, whisky swilling, money stealing, two bit lush with no friends and no future who will die a sad, lonely death and I, for one, will rejoice in her humiliation.

That's the thing though. Phil is a career criminal who was after all protecting his son but Shirley isn't exactly a career criminal and it was her best friend that got killed.

I think she is so much more culpable in this issue than Phil. She should have gone to the police as soon as she found out but even if she didn't for whatever reason the idea that she would use this information to blackmail Phil for money and even worse use Lola and Lexi to steal money really is beyond reproach.

There is no way back for Shirely

Can they heck he screwed her over so many times Shirley should be embarrassed to even think of getting back with him.

Grieving is probably too far I don't even think he'll ask about Shirl when he's out of hospital[/QUOTE]

I don.t think he will for an instant.

As far as he is concerned, he allowed her to steal all the money from his safe and start a new life in Greece, running a bar and drinking all the profits no doubt.

He has in effect paid to get her and her sour face out of his life for good, and won't give her a moment's thought - unless it a hope that she never shows her face in Walford again. It has cost him a lot of money, but he has finally got rid. As far as Phil is aware Shirley is living in Greece and happily spending the money she stole from his safe.

He'd have no idea at all if she was rotting at the bottom of the canal, buried in Epping Forest or wherever, so why should he grieve? No one will.

The only person who might wonder how she is getting on would be Jean, and she is leaving too.

I dunno.
Abandoning the woman you claim is your 'best mate' to spend a cold night homeless on a park bench with her small baby is pretty low in my opinion.
And all so she could sniff after Phil Mitchell again. So much for Shirley's much vaunted friendship - that was downright callous, unfeeling, cold-hearted and cruel.

Not everything is about looks and ego.”

Deano may have been difficult but Shirley deserved everything she got. She abandoned him, Carly and Jimbo (the son whose death she doesn't care about). I'm sure things are still difficult between Shirley and Carly. The damage Shirley did to their relationship by abandoning her takes a lot of time and effort to repair but Shirley doesn't seem that interested in trying. Shirley hurt her children but you don't see Carly and Deano blackmailing her, taking her money and telling all her neighbours what a terrible person she is. It's about time Shirley grew up and got over it.

I think you might be right mo. Her actions this last week have disgusted me. She's been acting like a spoilt little child with her I WANT MY MONEY tantrums all over the square. Phil should send her off to Greece and pay someone to throw in her in the middle of the sea.

Exactly. To him it's well rid, she was like a desperate woman asking for money.
