So todays episode Johnny moves in to the squaters house that Alfie is in. Now, this must mean Alfie and Co have to move, but, as far as I know there isn't a spare house left in the Square. But it seems no one can live outisde the square, that is forbidden by the almighty gods, so where the hell are they going to live ? Don't say another house magically appears free in the square ?

Aren't there a few free houses on the Slater side?
There should definitely be atleast one next door to the Millers seeing as that and the Miller house use to be one when ian owned them.

Yeah, I do about 5 full loads a week and there's only two of us in our house. I'm damn sure if I had to use the launderette in those great big oversized machines I'd be taking in at least twice what I put in mine.

Small bit of nonsense there...do you mean he was managing for the owner?

Some more wonders....

1. What happened to Stacey's change from being bad to good ? One minute she is a changed person and the next she is back to being her nasty self. What was the point in the 2 or 3 episode "I am changed" storyline ?

2. Why would Johnny want to move in the Square ? What exactly has happened for him to even want to bother ? He must be able to afford more then a council house with his lifestyle. Also is this yet another case of being able to get a house without being stuck on a waiting list ?

3. What is the point in Paulines dog Betty ? It is irrelevant and brings nothing to the storylines.

4. What happened to the red thong storyline ? Jim said he was with Patrick in the betting shop, how would that put him in the clear as far as Pauline and Dot are concerned ? So he was in the betting shop with Jim one afternoon, wow, that must mean he is not cheating. Okay so we the viewer know it was Stacey who planted the thong, but I just don't see why Dot, Pauline and Yolanda would think he is clear just because he was in the betting shop one afternoon.

5. What was Charlie doing for funds when he was off work ?

6. If Sam is down and out and working at the chippy and living with Minty, then why can't she sell the taxi car lot ? Also isn't she allowed half of the money from the divorce to Andy ? Or did they sign a pre-nup ?

7. Why hasn't Sam tried to find Marcus ? Even if it was known she wanted the money for Phil, it doesn't make it illigal for her as it never happened, that money is still hers legally.

8. Isn't it SO typical that Jane moved in with Ian rather then the other way around. Also where exactly was she living and what has happened to her old house/flat ?

9. What was in the E20/Angie's Den before it became the club ?

10. Why doesn't Pauline use her front door ?

Funny old thing with soaps, especially EE, is that they rarely mention the real world either, for obvious reasons. Danny, I think, on Friday in EE, said that he wathces Trisha - very unusual for EE. Brookside used to do that a lot....

Because, if she didn't have a dog, everyone on a board like this would be questioning why no one in the Square has a dog!

Where's Wellard, by the way?

Same here.

Yup, he was. The owner convienently decided to sell when EE writers wanted to integrate Minty into the cast more!

I have! And, while I admit it is nice, it is still more leaves and hot water to me than Prozac!

I think there are at least two free on the Slater side.

He hasn't got a council house. It would appear he has purchased the house Pat/Barry/Janine/Frank most recently lived in. In fact, I think most of the houses are owner occupier - AFAIK only the Millers' and possibly the Slaters' are. I don't know how it works in London, but to me it seems odd that any of them should be council houses at all.

Was it not just for a bit of company? What's wrong with her having a pet?

Why was he banned, I don't remember that bit? Presumably there was some sort of benefit claimable whilst not working.

Why? It makes more sense since he's got 3 kids he'd have to uproot and probably not fit into somewhere Jane lived on her own, and they both work right outside the front door.

A lot of people don't. My grandparents never did, everyone always went round the side. You always knew it was someone you didn't know knocking on the door if it was the fron t door.

I have been laughing my head off reading these comments!

Some questions...

Where is Terence in EE? (Billy's Dog)
Why do we hardly ever see the upstairs in people's houses i.e. the bedrooms?
In the Corrie title scene, where did the tram/train come from on top of the bridge?
Safra

The tram probably comes from Manchester!

He was in it last week! He made a brief appearance and Mo asked him if Billy was looking after him OK, to which Billy replied 'You've only been gone a day' (or words to that effect)

But talking of Terence...what happened to Terry Raymond? Don't remember his leaving at all

One more question I have just thought of, apart from Andy (and Phil) does anyone own their own car ? Can any of them drive ? Come to think of it they don't go anywhere out of the Square anyway to need to drive.

Terry left to go find Irene after some sort of run in with Janine, can't remember the exact details but was something like that.

How come Charlie Slater is the only black cabbie in the whole of London who lives in a council house??? Most cabbies earn a fortune.

How about whenever a character needs to get away from the square they

A) Manage to get a flight booked for that night seeing as none of them seem to have internet access or credit cards?

B) Get a black cab to the airport. The nearest airport to East London is Stanstead and you're talking north of £50 to get there by cab.

I have thought of one more thing, a toilet is never used unless they are doing a pregnancy test or in the vic where someone they hate is also in there.
