Didnt feel like usual rubbish one, it felt like Simon Ashdown wrote it,

I thought it was pretty well written, there was some history being mentioned, which Is usually not bothered with,

A good episode for a Monday!

I agree. I thought it was quite good, with, like you said, past being mentioned, and I thought it was quite well written.

I liked how it was shown how much her release was affecting many characters, it had snippets of Roxy, Alfie, Kat, Michael, Jack and Jean's turmoil over her release.

She didnt have to say anything, her face nailed the whole episode,

also, just wondering why Stacey and Sean are trending on the EE facebook page, its Sam Womacks thunder!

I was impressed and I'm hard to impress! Hope the high standard continues throughout the week, it was a sudden far cry from a whole week's worth of weak episodes. Gold star for LK!

Suddenly every scene had a subtext that made for dramatic tension. Deffo the best episode in years, even if usual joker Alfie did seem incredibly dark what he said about wanting to strangle Ronnie. Seems he still needs therapy.

Can't wait for tomorrows ep!

yeah - I can see a two hander coming up where Alfie tries to strangle Ronnie with both hands -

It was the best episode in absolutely ages, it really felt like 'old' EastEnders. The characters were interesting, the scenes were engaging, things actually happened for once! The scenes between Michael & Jack and Alfie & Roxy were excellent. Let's hope they keep this quality up.

Lauren Klee's episodes are always sketchy - ranging from either mediocre to bad but last night she proved herself as a decent writer.

The Michael/Jack scene and the Roxy/Alfie scene in the Vic living room were particularly good.

Looking forward to seeing what she has done with tonight's episode.

This could very well be the start of the "turning point".

I thought it was a very good episode. There was drama in every scene and it was great to see all these characters come together. I can't wait to see the rest of the week. I am glad we didn't see that much from Kat last night compared to Alfie and Michael. It would be great seeing Kat and Ronnie having proper scenes together in tonight's episode.

Welcome back Veronica Mitchell!!!

Nothing special to be honest, and it looks like the viewers didn't flock back either

Nice episode last night. Could do without seeing Carl though. Hopefully he gets killed off.

7.04 is a small improvement . Football on tonight so no doubt be less than 7m tonight.

I think as word spreads how good last night was the ratings will increase to around 8m

It was so good that I wondered if Simon Ashdown might have written it. I was really impressed. Lots of tête-à-têtes which is exactly what I like, and something that Eastenders has always excelled at. Much more of this and fewer silly comedy scenes, and we will have the soap back to how it should be.
