If Ronnie leaves in February/March 2014
If she leaves in Feb/March would you think her return is a waste do you think she should be back longer?

6 months is more than adequate if the story/writing is good enough.
It entirely depends on what they actually do within that time as to whether it's a waste or not, not the length of time itself. They've had characters on the show for several years who never really did anything of note. |

DTC will probably extend her contract to a year, she basically said yeah, she'l stay as long as Ronnie is well written and that viewers like her!
I want her to stay! |

I think they'll keep us hanging on with the 'leaving in February' thing, until it gets to about mid-January and they'll be like 'oh yeah, by the way, she's signed another contract', although I did hear rumors that Rita leaves in February and Sam said she wanted to go with Rita?

I've just read the Sam Womacks interview about Ronnie not been soft anymore and it seems like she wants to stay for a long time
I remember Emmerdales Viv returning from prison and her return didn't last within a year of her return it was announced she was axed hope this wont be the case |

She might leave in a special 29th Anniversary episode.

She's only just got back and your talking about her exit?! LOL!
I think she will return maybe not straight away but full time by Autumn 2014 I say. |

I think Sam wants to come back full time as long as Ronnie doesn't go back to being miserable all the time. If this 6 months stint works well then I can see Ronnie coming back to the square full time.

6 months isn't really long enough to do much with a character. It takes a month or two to properly embed a character back into a soap and you'd need at least a month or so to give them a proper exit. Not much in between. Besides, Sharon Watts and Dennis Tanner had done absolutely bugger all in their respective soaps after 6 months of returning, good job they didn't leave.

If she doesn't want to stick around, 6 months is more than enough time to wrap up any loose ends and give her a great leaving story.

Samantha has joined the cast of Mount Pleasant on Sky Living alongside Nigel Harman although I'm not sure if it's a one series stint or not yet.
