Such a top bloke, very kind and generous coming to Craig's aid. The issue nowadays the youth of today especially kids don't get enough punishment, its good we still have upstanding citizens like Karl to clean up the streets.

Pity this storyline has to come to an end, we need people like Karl doing his public duty.

He doesn't need to leave, he redeemed himself being there for Craig.

He's just manipulating the poor boy, making him think he's a murderer so he doesn't go and tell the police he saw Karl leaving the Rovers.

It angered me the way Stella reacted because people like her are the reason why bullies get away with things. Millions of kids get bullied every day and the bullies don't get any punishment at all.
The way Karl reacted was right in my opinion because bullies are cowards and need a good frighten to show just how pathetic they are.

Karl does not care about Craig but those little bullying thugs deserved it.

I'm a teacher and posts #1 and #3 are two of the most depressing posts I've read in ages. Fighting violence with violence is not the answer, especially if you completely outmatch the other person.

Besides, he was clearly only doing it to stop Craig breaking down and running for his mum to tell her the truth. Need I remind you that Karl nearly killed Craig just a day ago?!

Yeh but the "Bullies" where the victims at the end of the day, they were accused of it when they really didn't do anything wrong. Karl is the bully at the end of the day

None of them are innocent parties, but Karl was the worst offender and set a terrible example to all three kids.

As I said bullies are cowards and need a good scare to show how weak and pathetic they are. I was bullied in school and the teachers did NOTHING at all to help. Their excuse was that the bullies were having a bad home life which is no excuse.

Yes bad very bad infact an entire school full of them . The bullying stopped because my old man had had a few words with them and after that they never bullied me or anyone again.

Yes, and I was one of those kids. But good teachers help and these days bullies get suspended or even expelled if they do something physical which is witnessed more than once - even if it's outside of school.

a 3 or 7 day bender does not deter bullies. In my experience, teachers are enablers, too scared of the bullies parents and league tables to give a toss other than to pour oil on troubled waters and want to be seen as sorting it out yet actually not quite managing to.

back in the day you sorted it out on the school field, pick the biggest one, sit him/ her on their arse and watch their mates skulk away.

Little johnny is not really a thug he has a crap home life, Boo hoo, so do most kids at some point, its called life.

That scene was hilarious. Typically bad acting from the two kids, and Karl snarling and staring into the camera was just funny.

When I was at school in the 1950s and 60s the teachers were the biggest bullies, they thought nothing of giving little kids a good walloping

Sorry, but it is precisely that kind of namby-pamby, liberal thinking from teachers, the police and politicians that has led this county into the state it's in. A few more clips round ears and a few more slaps on legs are what is needed. When I was a kid, I well recall talking with a man, then well into his 90s, who had been birched when he was a teenager. By his own admission, he'd been a tearaway. But he never put a foot wrong after being birched - and he was grateful for it. Seems a pretty good solution to me.

I can't imagine that your average bully is going to be deterred by the threat of being suspended from school for a bit! Nice little skive from school for a while. Nasty little thugs deserve a taste of their own medicine, see how they like it when they're on the receiving end.

Craig made false accusations against the two kids. Schoolboy justice was being enacted albeit wrong. It wasn't exactly bullying for no reason.

And I honestly hate when people say things like that. Telling the bullies off isn't fighting violence with violence, it's teaching them not to do it again and helping the victim. I hate when nothing is said to the bullies and they just get away with it. How do you think the victim feels? Not only that, but it will make the bullies think they can do it again.

To the OP I'm not sure you have been watching the programme properly. Craig and Karl used those two boys names to deviate from their crimes they were used and their names given under false pretences. Karl only stepped in to assist Craig to save his own skin as he has done so from the beginning.

Quite. The 'bullying' is the excuse made up by Craig/Karl to explain why he ran away, rather than the real reason - Craig thinks he burned the pub down.

When I was at school in the 1950s and 60s the teachers were the biggest bullies, they thought nothing of giving little kids a good walloping
God yes, they would be prosecuted today. One teacher would use 3 canes instead of one, and he'd cane anyone male or female, for the slightest thing - a real psycho
Then there was the English teacher who would take the 'offender' into the stock room and belt him with a slipper - the screams terrified us - and he always picked on the weakest pupil.
