Well, Christmas will be the 20th Anniversary of the Plane Crash. Maybe Archie finally gets tired of hiding up in those hills.

Nathan has unfinished business in the village and plenty of reason to return. Cain nearly beat him to death and Declan left him penniless and homeless! It would be great if he had rebuilt himself, some sort of business empire and was comfortably well-off again with a little help from mum Natasha.

I would wrap up the murder investigation as quickly as possible and have a mystery benefactor save the festival. Megan could have a secret meeting with a 'client' in a last-ditch attempt to ensure the festival goes ahead, unbeknownst to her that their 'saviour' is non other than Declan's sworn enemy, Nathan Wylde! With Declan having lost almost everything and not only him, but the villagers too, being at the mercy of an old nemesis I think it would make for a great storyline and be a brilliant way to bring Nathan back and reign supreme over the village again!

I reckon they should bring back Carl. He was such a great character. He faked his death and crawled away then killed someone else for the coffin. (totally stole that from HOs)
No idea why he would do that, they can use it and give a reason.

It's most likely going to be Steph. She will come back for her dad's funeral.

someone suggested on another thread that (sorry for being rude, but I can't remember who it was or what thread) that she might be Steve's wife. That would be a good twist.

That really would be amazing! A fantastic way to reintroduce a legendary character!

I never watched much in the 90s so I missed the Kim Tate era, but it does sound like she'd be a good match for the dastardly Steve.

Yes I was thinking that too, I'm sure they know eachother. It could still be possible that she is completely unaware of who Steve's wife is though having stolen him from her and all!

I think a good solution would for Declan to maybe have a silent business partner, and he begins to have financial woes and seeks help. There is Kim Tate! However her help comes at a Price! Giving her Home Farm!

He'll come wandering down, looking bedraggled and confused, asking if Margaret Thatcher's still Prime Minister (and yes, I know I'm a few years out on that one)

Kim Tate... She arrives back in the village after buying home farm from Declan, and later as Steve goes to meet the new owner, he realises that his wife (Kim) waiting for him

I would even be happy to see Ella back to find Declan crawling in the gutter at his lowest ebb! With her penchant for young boys she could even seduce Robbie just to rub his nose in it then spit him back out at breakfast!
