That glass back bit of it is.
Also meant as a useful warning to would be buyers. The N4 is at least as needy of a 'bumper' as those iPhones of old. |

Well it is a silly copycat impractical feature of the iPhones but actually done worse.
Calling it a "fashion toy" whilst insinuating that the iPhone is somehow better is a bit silly in itself considering the Nexus 4 is more powerful than the iPhone 5/5C. |

Three are offering it around the same sort of price. £46 per month and £50 up front. Think I prefer Three's option as at least then you getting unlimited data. How much Data you getting with vodafone for 47? Noticed that EE are offering it at £46 with 10GB of data and £60 upfront. Think even though those are a little more up front you getting benefits. Three you getting unlimited data and on EE you getting a massive LTE coverage already and a good amount of data.
I honestly am dreading to see the iPhone 5s on Three with it's £99 upfront cost and the offerings from other networks as well. If the iPhone 5c 16GB is £41pm on the one plan then that means the 5s could be something in the mid to high £40's + £99 upfront. ridiculous. |

You're kidding right!!!! This is the iPhone 5C. It is ridiculously overpriced for what is essentially a rebadged iPhone 5. And you can get the iPhone 5 32GB with a much more premium finish for £35pm+£129 upfront.

Check out the follow up post a couple further down I said it was expensive as hell but I think Three and EE are offering better deals then Vodafone and O2. Some people may choose the 5C over the 5 simply for the 800MHz support.
What's really sad is that people are going to sign up to these expensive contracts in droves. I knew Three were putting their iPhone 5s prices sky high but i didn't expect the iPhone 5c to be high as well. |

You totally fail to get it, the N4 is a third the price but a higher spec.
I think it is you that doesn't understand business. I think the reason this thread has gone on and on is because a lot of people thought they were going to get a chance to buy into the Apple eco system with a cheap iPhone. Now they have found that not to be the case those same people have basically thrown their toys out of their prams. |

Some people might as well just buy any other 4G phone....

...It looks very premium. Glass is glass, it will break if put under any pressure.
In this aspect the 5c is technically better, but yes, some do see the glass back as premium. |

Agree honestly would pick the 5C at the prices they going for but can imagine they will sell simply because they are apple devices.

http://i481.photobucket.com/albums/r...ps478da7e7.jpg I've been told 5s is £99 upfront from Three as well. And according to what i was told before it's only going to be £2pm more than the iPhone 5c (told this after the PM above). Weird how Three's prices are so different to what i was originally told yet CPW is bang on. Take what i said about 5s having a £99 upfront cost and £2pm more with a pinch of salt. |

One thing I don't understand is the new motion chip, M7 or whatever, which monitors steps etc. Isn't this just the same as the Noom Walk app, which doesn't require a special chip and seems to work on most phones anyway? (although it may not be available on iphone.)
Link to App I recently installed it on my mother's y300 as she is away for 4 weeks and her old fitbit probably won't hold that amount of days, and it's surprisingly accurate, the fitbit got about 17,500 steps and the phone about 16,500, but she doesn't carry the phone round the house, which she does with the fitbit, and it only uses 2% of the battery each day. I know it's not as slick as what Apple will produce but it proves it can already be done. I also wonder how fitbit, jawbone up and Nike will feel about this, as it makes their products pretty much redundant on Apple. Nerdy, boring pedometer post, but like I said I've been looking into it for my mother over the last week or so. |

Considering Broadcom add passive wifi location stuff in their chips, its a fair bet this is made by Broadcom too .It could even be an existing chip renamed or one custom adapted/designed for Apple.

Despite what some claim, the iPhone 5 is a highly desirable phone for young/mid teens. I would imagine the 5c would be attractive to this market.
Nowadays, a lot of kids/teens see the iPhone along with Blackberry as common and associated with chavs. I suspect that's part of the reason why Samsung's smartphone sales have increased so dramatically recently, particularly in the UK. |

Wow. As popular and 'unoriginal' as an iPhone is, I never thought of it as a chav-y.
But then i'm not a kid/teen. Still hard to believe though, it's a classy phone imo. |

BREAKING!!!!
Apple have released an official statement which explains why the iPhone 5c is more expensive than the iPhone 5 and why the iPhone 5s will be even more expensive on contract. See the full statement below- http://abload.de/img/angry-joe-give-me-mon66zid.gif |
