That Episode tonight was some of the best acting I have seen on a British Soap in a long time, we need this far more often from Eastenders! If they continue like this they will get the ratings back up to 9-10 million. Stunning episode!

Thoughts?

It needs to maintain a standard like this more often and needs some more talked about stories then watch the viewers come back, it will take time though and certainly won't happen overnight.

I think it needs to go even higher then maintain it from there,
todays episode was good, but with writing, the sky is the limit!

It's great to have Ronnie back. I never stopped missing her after she left.

It was good by EE's standards in the last year and a half or so but I could list countless episodes of ED, Hollyoaks and Corrie that have been better this year. There's still a long way to go before EE gets back to form IMO though it's at least making progress

I am a massive eastenders fan. But even I gave up on it this year. I would find myself checking the clock every 2 mins as I couldn't wait for the episode to end.

But this week so far, I have been looking at the clock thinking 'oh no only 5 mins left'!!

For the first time in 2013, I have not wanted the episodes to end, as I cant wait to see more!!

Good job eastenders!! Keep it up now

Its been a decent two episodes this week, the scenes between Kat and Ronnie was superb and natural felt for the first time in ages like old EE when it was good, its making steady progress, its going to be slow to get it back up to standard but its getting there and I have faith once DTC work comes into progress, you will start seeing proper improvement, put it this way its better then we've had in ages, anyone remember the Bobby's snake episode and Poppy tuna drama?, nuff said!

Yeah not that I'm any judge but I have started liking Eastenders again and am back watching after a major break of 2 or 3 years. It's still has its depressing moments but I find it much more watchable than I did.

Any episode with Shane Richie in it can hardly be called unbeatable

Ronnie's return definately feels like a turning point for EE.
For once, bringing back a 'ghost from the past' does not feel forced because there is so much potential drama in Ronnie's confrontation with her past and everyone who was affected by her actions (ultimately, the entire community).
The character also feels suprisingly familiar (old Ronnie) yet marked by her experience in prison (only Sam Womack can pull this off)
It will be interesting to see if EE manages to deliver consistent quality drama over the next weeks and months (beyond the 'Ronnie effect')
