>_> Well so did we as the viewing audience, since you said during the court case

"I forgive ya Ronnie"

gee, I wonder how Ronnie got the impression you forgave her

Well she did go on to say "so did I" so obviously she'd convinced herself she had forgiven Ronnie but her release changed things.

I noticed this too, it seems they've forgotten Kat's final scene with Ronnie (although I always thought it was stupid Kat 'forgave' her - pretty out of character if you ask me). Just like how they've suddenly forgotten that Kat requested that Ronnie should not be allowed back in Walford upon her release.

Lazy writing. Just like how they've suddenly forgotten that Kat requested that Ronnie should not be allowed back in Walford upon her release.
Lazy comment.

The writing does its best to justify it. Kat forgave Ronnie but she's been mulling it over all this time and upon finding out about her release, she's utterly terrified again and "the monster under the bed" scenario was a great example. It's a bit far fetched that she'd let Ronnie live with her but this is Soapland and it's obvious Kat feels both a connection with Ronnie (abuse at an early age) and sympathy for the death of her baby - after all they were friendly during their pregnancy. It doesn't mean she's forgiven her for what she did, but it does mean she can see past it and reach out to someone clearly desperate and alone (a place she's found herself in so many times)

Edit - Didn't notice you had edited your comment - I apologise for calling it lazy.
