Eurosport have acquired pan-European rights for UEFA's new competition that's effectively a U19 Champions League. The first-pick game in each matchweek will be shown live on either Eurosport or Eurosport 2. The first live match is Man Utd vs. Leverkusen on Tuesday, 17th September, 4pm BST.

Champions League broadcasters may buy additional matches, and they can also simulcast semi-finals and the final if domestic clubs are involved.

Man Utd. play their first match at Salford City, while Chelsea have a lunchtime match against Basel at Aldershot.

On matchday 2, Celtic's match against Barcelona takes place at Greenock. Man City v Bayern is played at Ewen Fields, and Arsenal v Napoli takes place at Meadow Park.

Eurosport definitely has 1st pick for each matchweek.

Other channels (i.e. official Champions League broadcasters) can show additional matches. Actually, UEFA's press release suggests that rights for these additional matches might be free of charge but whoever wants to show them has to produce a TV signal - and I'm not sure if anyone will bother to do that during the group stage (except for club channels, that is).

So could MUTV show some matches or not?

Either way, I am glad that someone has picked up the rights to these matches, as I am looking forward to this tournement! :D

This could be worth watching.............I'm getting bored with senior footy and the European games are just a bit of a yawn so might be more interesting to see the youth teams

If you read the first post then MUTV can NOT show the game as it is on Eurosport and they have first pick exclusive rights to one game per round.

Assuming Man Utd are not the Eurosport pick in later rounds then any of Sky, ITV and MUTV can show the game but they have to pay the cost of filming.
