She's a rescue cat and had kittens nine wks ago and we've only had her for a week. She needed to gain weight before she could be spayed - she has done and is going on friday. Todays she's started howling and crouching down, although she was fine at the vets when she went to be weighed this morning.

She could be, although the rescue are petty poor to be rehoming before spaying. I'd be contacting them and asking thier advice.

She sounds like she could be. If she is some vets will not spry her until she comes out of heats hitch will be upto 14 days.

They did so in the hope that they'd would gain more weight in a relaxed home enviroment rather than being sterssed out in the rescue. They did a home check to make sure that the house and garden where secure before they let me take her and her sister.

Unfortunately for this exact reason (amount others) it'd best to keep them in rescue until spayed, you appear to be responsible enough to do something about it, many don't notice until kitty is looking a little plump.....
