I'm sure we're all glad to see the back of Killer Karl, but does anyone else remember what a great character he was before the whole fire thing? Out of all the Price clan, he seemed to fit in best. He fitted right in with the other blokes. He was tactless and vulgar, leading to some great humor. And he was a good addition to the "Street Cars" clan. He seemed completely harmless and utterly gormless.

But at the end of the day, that nice guy died when the affair story started. And whilst it's good that evil Karl is probably getting what he deserves on Friday, a tiny part of me is sad when I think back to how good a character he was.

Someone on here said that Karl reminded them of Jack Duckworth in his younger days. I'd agree with that sentiment. He could've been such a great, essential character had they not gone down this predictable route. What a waste...

I am sorry that the storyline is ending as I have enjoyed it. I still don't think Karl is a complete monster because he did run back into the burning building when he realised Stella was inside, he did feel guilty about killing Sunita and about Toni dying, and he couldn't bring himself to kill Dev or Craig in cold blood. However, he has committed crimes and needs to be punished for them and he definitely needs help due to his obsession with Stella.

Hm, I've never really warmed to the Price clan as a whole. I've always considered Eva the best but I wouldn't yet associate her as a great Corrie character (though I think she holds the potential). I think I would have grown to like Karl if he'd remained a regular guy and had more StreetCars scenes but won't really be sorry to see the back of him.

He was boring beforehand, he didnt really do much apart from be nagged at by Stella. If anything, it must have been great for the actor to get such a prominent storyline. Didn't think it would all come to a head so soon though, they could've left it with a Xmas wedding between Stella and Karl (we know how soaps love those!) and have the climax then.

They've already dragged it out for six months. I wouldn't have liked it to go on much longer.
