Feeder - Pushing the Senses
Already got me a copy and have had it on the stereo ever since. It's a pretty good album.
There have been a lot of negative reviews about this album (but, let's face it, I'm such a Feeder fangirl that if Grant Nicholas farted, recorded and released it, I'd probably buy it), so it was a pleasant surprise to find out that most of the reviewers were talking rubbish! The opening song 'Feeling a Moment' literally took my breath away, and the tracks 'Bitter Glass' and 'Pushing the Senses' both stood out on the first listen. I'm sure my favourites will change after a few more listens though! So, just wondering what other Feeder fans think of the new album? Is it up to Echo Park standard (not quite IMO), or the classic Polythene (again, no IMO). Is it better than the commercially and critically successful Comfort in Sound (YES, definitely IMO!). Discuss.

I really liked Comfort In Sound, and I think at the moment I like that album more.. but this is a good album. Certainly as good as U2s new album. Really, really like Tumble and Fall.

I was bitterly disappointed with it. I even considered taking it back but I do like "Tumble and Fall" and thought it was worth keeping just for that.
I'll stick with "Echo Park" |

Tumble and Fall doesn't really do it for me.
I really like Feeling a Moment and I honestly think it should of been the first single off it :P. Overall a really good album, great follow-up to comfort in sound .

I'm about to stick it on for the first time in a minute.
Thing that annoyed me was that HMV had the cheek to try and charge £14 for the bonus edition, which was what had intended to buy (only saw the point of getting a copy of the album of someone if i didn't buy it). Unfortunately Virgin was clearing all it's stock and didn't have any new stuff in, and Tesco only had the standard version. |

Sorry I'm a bit late to the party
![]() I just got Pushing The Senses, and I think I might have a new favourite Feeder album. It has the raw power of their earlier work like Swim and Polythene, as well as the depth and richness of sound from the newer Feeder. I love it! |

It's definitely my favoruite album, though I'm not a major fan of the band.. I never really liked Polythene much, though Comfort In Sound and Echo Park are great. Also thought Yesterday Went Too Soon was pretty good..
My current faves are Bitter Glass, Feeling A Moment, Morning Life and Pushing The Senses. |

The first time i listened to the album, it didn't really do much for me, but every time i have listened to it since, it has got better. I have both singles from it so far, and the B-sides from there compliment the album well.
