Imo she isn't a celebrity, despite trying for years to be one. Had she been in civilian BB in the summer then I would have supported her, however a few appearances on TV over 20 years and appearing as a panellist on BBBots does not make her a celebrity. In the BB world, "Glasses Man" from BBBots is probably more of a valid celebrity than Lauren. Will he be in the next CBB?

Wouldn't it be simpler just to say you don't like her?

Yes but even then she was not really an antiques prodigy as has been proved - her family are so desperate for fame

I don't dislike Lauren, but there in my honest opinion something not quite right about her. I don't know if she is playing the game and being false I don't know but I cannot warm to her in the house. Although admittedly she can be quite funny on occasions like when she was in the bedroom describing the 'kneading bread' with Mario the previous day. So Hard!!!

She already has delusions of granduer by the bucket load. Recently she's been treating the viewers to a song here and there, she thinks she can sing you see. Gets right into it, closing eyes and screwing up face, then warbling in that nasally fashion that people who can't sing adopt. She's deluded enough to think winning CBB will change her life, but it really won't.
Well, she's more famous to me than Abz, Dustin, Charlotte, Mario, Courtney or Danielle. You may say that means they're not celebs either or that I am behind the times. But lots of people on here said they hadn't heard of Ron, for instance, who has been a huge name in football and there isn't just 'one time'.
Personally I couldn't care less about the label. Some of the ones I've never heard of have been the most interesting.

Great post, Snow, totally agree. I also hadn't heard of any of the ones you mention, (plus Abz in my case), and the ones I had heard of are at best B list celebs.
So for me it was a case of ignoring the alleged 'celebrity' status and treating each hm on their own merits. I concluded that the most entertaining hm, (in that she regularly made me laugh and occasionally made me want to cry), was Lauren and I would be delighted for her if she were to win.
I think Lauren has been pretty much herself in the house, but lets say she hasent. I would still rather live in the house with her than two faced backstabbers on a daily basis who are being nasty. Lauren if its an act at the end of the day isnt really harming anyone but perhaps herself.

It would if it was true, however I don't dislike her. I just don't think she should be in CBB. James Harries was not a bona fide antiques expert and Lauren Harries is not a celebrity. I don't think Courtney qualifies to be in CBB either.
No she's not a celebrity, that's all in hers and her mothers warped heads.She's a renowned con artist just like her parents. If she does win she will destroy very quickly any good that comes from it, as usual.Total conning act in the house, unless she's had a personality transplant.

Courtney doesn't qualify imo, no. Although I have never seen either TOWIE or GS, Mario and Charlotte do appear on reality TV regularly so could be viewed as celebrities.

Well most of them are not really celebs are they? But she is most definitely not more famous than Abz that is for sure! Abz has been in the band 5 that was massive, so he is one of the few that is a celeb and so is Vicky and Bruce and also Sophie as she has always been a famous model!
The others are not in my opinion and I am not a big fan of Laurens myself but she will definitely come in the top 4 it seems, probably 3rd I think!

Well, I'd never heard of him. I had heard of 5ive and don't think they were that massive outside of those into teenage pop, magazines and that sort of culture. It's subjective, partially, and I don't think Abz breaks that subjective barrier, as people like Amy Winehouse did. They may have sold a lot of records but so have Radiohead but many people may not have heard of Jonny Greenwood.
As I said, the status of celebrity is not an issue for me, let alone trying to disqualify someone through some self-serving hierarchy. I'm fine that Abz, Courtney etc are given a chance, despite not having heard of them.

I believe Rylan was classed as a celebrity because he was a contestant in another reality programme so what is the difference, hardly a celebrity!
I also don't think you can compare Lauren with the man with the glasses as he is just a member of the audience (who needs to get a life) and I guess unpaid, whereas Lauren was an invited guest on the BBBOTS and probably paid.
Like a poster above it seems you don't like her which is really the reason you don't think she should win, just be honest!

Here here well said she should never have been put in the house, the fact she tried for so long should tell us something........but tbh I don't know who she is, cause she aint the same person that's been hobbling around looking like a gereatric right now so has it all been her game plan :/
I agree with the OP... Lauren seems so very desperate - that is so unattractive and off putting.

Why? Courtney has appeared on a RTV show in the US. Why discount her if you include Mario and Charlotte who owe their 'fame' solely to RTV?
I see all 4 - Lauren, Charlotte, Mario and Courtney - as pretty much same status, which is 'famous' only in tabloid terms. If one has celeb status, then all 4 have.
Lauren qualifies.
