Should I visit my dog?

Long story: my boy has been incredibly poorly and now is being closely monitored in another town. He's staying at my parent's house, and they're elated to be able to care for him.

The trouble is: I want to visit as we've not been apart for a single day in 5 years and I know he's desperately missing me. It must be awful for him as he's poorly and wants his dad.

But do I go, only to leave him again on Monday or Tuesday, leaving him unsettled again, or do I go and spend as much time with him as possible?

I don't know what to do. I hate the thought of him waiting for me to come through the front door, never to appear, but I don't want him to be all unsettled again after I've gone.

Advice?

Go see him.Just be sure not to be all dramatic leaving him.
I know it will be hard and you'll want to hug him to bits.but he'll sense your distress.
Enjoy your time with him.

OK. It's decided: I'm going on Tuesday and spending all week with him. He's settled now and getting better on a daily basis, so it's all really good

Thanks for taking the time to post!

That's fantastic news

He's gorgeous, by the way.

Thanks. On top of ALL his ailments (which were many), we found from the X Rays he's had bronchitis for a while which was causing him to snore so badly.

Poor little bunny...
