Fairly frequently (but not always), my Humax Fox T2 Freeview recorder will not pause or rewind live programmes, even after it has been "on" long enough time to build up a buffer. Other times, it seems to work OK quite soon after first switching "on". Does anyone have an answer as to why this happens? D.

Are the batteries OK?
Some remotes play up now and again if batteries aren't in good condition.

Are you watching a second channel in the same mux as a ongoing recording ?. If I remember correctly you can't time shift the channel not recording so there is no buffered content

Try recording say BBC1-HD now tune to CH4-HD pretty sure pause won't work. Can't get at my box to check at the moment..
