Is ANTONS Ballroom Dancing Still The Best On The Show? - What Are Your Marks out of 10 For The GIRLS & BOYS Pro dancers?

Anton's dancing talents are very wide ranging and his Ballroom dancing in particular is exquisite and therefore fully deserves my ten paddle being brought out.

What's your score on Antons Ballroom dancing talents and why?

Will Anton still be the best Ballroom dancer on the show after this years changes?

Ian Waite was the best male pro at ballroom closely followed by Vincent, although Anton's foxtrot is superb. As to the new male pros, who can tell? Both seem to favour the latin but that's not saying they might not be good at ballroom too.

Artem rivals, if not exceeds, Anton in ballroom choreography.

I forgot to post Anton's exquisite Waltz,

'Superb' is a fabulous word to describe the multi talented Anton, thank you for that.

Yes his foxtrot is superb, I give him that. I think it was last year that he and Erin did a pro foxtrot during one of the guest appearances and they were graceful and elegant together. Times like that make me appreciate Anton.

I will try and find a link to Anton's foxtrot to remind myself, thank you.

I think this could be Anton's foxtrot, it starts about half way through.

Sigh................Another thread Terry .
Sometimes it seems like you create these threads just to wind people up and we always fall for it LMAO.

To answer to your question, I think that his ballroom is a little overrated and his Latin is awful . And he is not the best ballroom dancer on the show IMO.

Best ballroom I ever saw on the show was when Natalie was partnered with Ian. Sublime.

You might need a better strategy olivej, or more manpower? Know this though, you will have a lot of support

The best ever. Anton can't touch that.

Its fair to say that this is open to debate, but in any event this hypothetical point is irrelevant as this thread refers to Professionals like Anton who are currently on the show, not those who are no longer with us like Ian.

Your Tabloid headline thread title ASSUMED Anton was always the best at ballroom.

I am just pointing out that Ian and Natalie as a pair were always better.

Personally I think Brendan is better at ballroom than Anton. Although I do like Anton.

You are entitled to cling to your opinion, the Great British Public however have voted with their feet, and that is why the multi talented Anton is still performing on Strictly Come Dancing.

In terms of talent at ballroom of professionals past and up to 2012 I would rate Ian, Brendan, Brian, Artem and then Anton.

Anton, I suspect is only there to suit the more mature ladies and even that role seems to be falling to Robin & James more these days.

Perhaps like a previous contestant, Anton was specifically requested by Fiona to secure her agreement to take part. As it is, Anton is somewhat a spare wheel this year.

Mature ladies don't like Pasha or Artem? They are exclusively for 'younger' ladies?

Also, I don't think producers really consult celebs about which pros they liked to be matched and acted accordingly. Fiona, before she was paired with Anton said she wanted very much to learn latin dances. When paired with Anton, she now said she's looking forward to learning ballroom dances.

There is nothing of "a spare wheel" about Anton, Golden Ring would be a better description.

Anton and his golden ring of talent are always at the hub of the action on Strictly Come Dancing.

Bless you and your funny little world of strangeness. Must be wonderful living in a place wearing permanent rose tinted glasses, where your reality is at 90 degrees to the rest of us.

”

All our inner thoughts make up our reality.

My reality is always grounded in common sense and reason, that's why many have said in the past that my voice sounds like that of the common man, qualities that are also shared by Anton and Sir Bruce.

I have always thought that Brendan is the best at ballroom, although he is nominally a latin specialist. He puts more feeling into it whereas Anton has a stiff, slick style that shows no feeling at all.

I'm sorry but you're both wrong. Nothing can touch Anton and Erin. Sublime.
