Yeah I enjoyed it up until the rushed ending. There was no need for the Fayemian stuff. Corrie should learn to run one story over the course of the 2 episodes, there was more than enough material. (reminds me of Becky's exit when we had to watch Eileen/Paul)

I thought it was perfect the way the reveal took place at the Rovers and there were a lot of parallels to the night of the fire. I also liked the symbolism of the bride and groom breaking.
I think we'll see more of the fallout/reactions Monday, just unfortunate that it was so rushed in the end. I blame Faye.

Best Friday double since Lewis' exit IMO.

Well I've got to say those episodes were bloody laughable! I actually spent the entire 2nd episode laughing at how bad everything was! John Michie was the only one who's acting wasn't cringeworthy, everybody else was atrocious!

The episode was just wasted on so much nonsense and the final 5 mins (where the drama actually happened) there was enough in that time alone that you could have fitted into a 22 min episode, but yet it was all compressed and hurried in that final few mins! Extremely bad planning and writing there if you ask me!

I'm gutted to see Karl go, i quite liked him a bit and i was hoping he would finish off that blasted Craig kid! But on the brightside at least that'll be the last we see of Tez!

I'm inclined to agree - Dev was terrible as usual - Not sure what he was hoping to achieve by confronting him in the Rovers (great plan - follow a man who's desperate enough to kill your wife and burn down a pub and don't tell anyone where you are or what you're doing) John Michie was very good though. The police were shockingly bad.

I was actually a bit surprised that Dev didn't reveal Karl's secret in front of everyone but then I thought that he didn't want to destroy Stella's big day for her by doing that. Also because Karl used to be a friend he probably wanted Karl to tell him exactly what happened himself which Karl did.

Karl was a good character. I couldn't hate him because he did feel guilty about his actions and he did have mental issues (his unhealthy obsession with Stella).

What annoys me is how judgemental soap characters are when the truth about someone comes out. Take the John Stape case for instance. Fiz's initial reaction was that John was the devil - she didn't even bother to ask under what circumstances he killed Charlotte and Joy (though the idiot never explained that Joy was manslaughter) and everyone conveniently forgot that poor John had insomnia and two mental breakdowns because of guilt over his actions. Only at the very end did Fiz realise you can hate what someone has done without hating them.

And in this case Stella seems to have forgotten that;

Karl did confess to her at the funeral that he killed Sunita but she didn't believe him.

Karl never wanted to go to the funeral. He was pressured into it by Dev and Stella.

And no doubt Gloria will forget all about finding Karl in a state the day he was tempted to kill Dev (though no-one knows that of course) and everyone will discredit the fact that he did run back into the burning building to get Stella out now they know he began the fire in the first place.

I know these things don't exonerate a person of responsibility for their actions but it does help you to understand that the person is not all bad.

CS was fantastic last night. I was hooked from start to finish.

Kevin O'sullivan even prised the episodes. Not many liked the ending on here, but forums don't reflect public opinion anyway.

You lot just like to moan for the sake of it.

Well I thought Dev did pretty. Plenty of emotion and even tears. And in that scene he didn't commit his usual "crime" mentioned in the 'Radio Times' of putting the emphasis on the wrong words in a sentence even once.

Not when he first join the soap. Yet another convenient character change to suit the storyline.

This lot on here wouldn't know a good episode if it bit them in the arse and yelled "Hey, I'm a bloody good episode!" half of them watched Celebrity Spa on Friday, says it all really

Great pair of episodes. My favourite bit was when Jason was at the window of the Rovers and the glass distorted his face slightly and he looked like Adam in Emmerdale. They're surprisingly similar looking.

I don't remember that. I remember Karl telling Stella at the funeral that it was all his fault, but she thought he was refering to the affair he had with Sunita.

I felt a bit let down by the episodes personally. It all felt like a bit of an anti-climax and didn't feel very dramatic. It was very flat.

I thought they should have had the reveal in the Bistro, that's where loads of the characters were and where the atmosphere was. The Rovers had no atmosphere at all.

Yes he did confess but she misunderstood;

Stella: Karl I know it's hard for you
Karl: It's all my fault.
Stella: No it isn't.
Karl: It's my fault Sunita's dead. I killed her.
Stella: Karl, you're not making any sense. What do you mean you killed Sunita?
Karl hesitates
Stella: Karl talk to me please
Karl: I can't
Stella: Yes you can. I'm here to help you. Look you can't blame yourself for what she did. She walked into that affair with her eyes wide open. She knew what she was doing.
