I've wondered that. So many kids get into their teens and then drop their family / local accent and start following the trend, looks like Abz just stuck with it until it became his normal speech pattern.

You find it outside London too. There are lads on bikes who hang about outside my Tesco Express who talk like that...in a rural village miles from London.
