Anyone else feel it was all a bit of an anti-climax, the first episode was good and the Dev/Karl fight was well done but the second episode felt very flat to be honest, and the reactions from everyone about Karl being a murderer felt a bit flat, it didn't really feel dramatic to be honest. Was kinda expecting a bit more.

Not every reveal has to be dramatic, ending with a rooftop siege, an explosion or a death.

True.

But it was still rather flat.

It seemed extremely rushed through.

I thought I was watching a bad pantomime. It was very badly acted. And had a very obvious outcome. Emmerdale is much better at the moment, and more convincing.

It was a bit flat for the 2nd ep yes, but we can't always have over dramatic conclusions. However considering the storyline has been going on so on I expected more. They could have done so much more.

I don't think Michelle Collins will be sticking this on her showreel.

Awful. "Come on, let's go into the cellar". Lmao, I suppose it makes a change from round the back.

A very disappointing reveal.

I have to admit, I've not watched Corrie in years but came back to it tonight for this reveal. Very underwhelming tbh, in fact almost laughable. Dunno what I would have expected from this reveal, but not this.

What would everyone have prefered? The usual over done explosion/jumping off a roof? I'm glad Corrie finally didnt go down the sensationalist route with a killer, not every murderer is a serial killer.

I think the Rovers was more of an apt location to finish the storyline, with it mirroring the night of the fire (Karl sneaking out, Dev (Sunita) following him, then later, Stella coming home early.

To be honest, aside from Karl, Stella, Jason and Dev no-one else knows the full story yet so they can't really react to it, can they? All they know is that Karl is being carted of in a policecar and Dev is waiting for an ambulance. Wait until the next episode when everyone knows the full story for their reactions.

Pretty much this, also, its the final few weeks of Stella's time in the Rovers, before the McDonald's return.

CS was fantastic tonight. I was hooked from start to finish.

Kevin O'sullivan even prised the episodes. Not many liked the ending on here, but forums don't reflect public opinion anyway.

Yep, it felt like a comedown after the decent build-up.

I thought it was better for being low-key.

More realistic and chilling.

Jason shouted out and told everyone Karl burned down the rovers.

Agreed. I just hope they don't do an "explosive" storyline about Karl escaping prison and returning to the Street to die in a blaze of glory. I fear they might do just that for Stella's departure.

Oh god, I agree, fair enough it worked for Tony Gordon's exit, but I never saw Karl as that far gone (he wasnt insane, just scared and unstable). I hope this marks the end of the serial killer storylines, and the end of Corrie killing off villains. What happened to murderers like Katy Harris?

Katy wasn't a murderer. Didn't she kill her dad accidently with a crowbar in the garage?

I agree that once the whole story comes out that there will be people talking about it in the Kabin (Norris...) and in the Rovers. At first people don't really take it all in. I thought the police got there a bit quickly. They take ages in real life.

How do you accidentally kill someone with a crowbar
