I think most of us have been saying from the start having a well liked, popular and current reality tv show star like Charlotte and Rylan last year totally defeats the purpose of the show.....and for me which started off as an interesting series went out like a deflated baloon....

I think Vicky who is probably the least liked of the GS girls as she a tempermental, moody, crazy cow! would have been a better choice then Charlotte as although she is very current, she is not a nations sweetheart type/totally obvious winner like Charlotte.....and I do think would have given Carol/Vicky a run for their money in the domineering stakes where as CHarlotte is just a sheep.

Either way its just stupid having such an obvious winner Charlotte could have taken a sh!t in the living room live on tv and she still wojuld have won

I don't think Vicky would have been liked. She's one of my favourite characters in the show, but I don't think the GBP would have taken to her, personally.

Thats why I would rather have had her though, she wouldnt have been at all an obvious winner like Charlotte was, and it would have been interesting to see how she developed in the house and out of her comfort zone, Charlotte basically coasted to the final, would have won no matter what, so it made it all a little obvious and boring for me, and I think she sort of wasted a place in the house really.

Thats true, but thats because, she is the most well known, popular and current of all of the HMs, she has a massive fan base amongst the folks that will cast votes in these shows, she was favourite from the start and was a totally obvious winner, that takes from the excitement of watching a winner develop and leanring something new about them for me.

It's not easy to think back, but I don't think jack Dee WAS a very big star then. My memory is that he got a huge boost out of CBB, which was of course shown on BBC1 at peak time, odd as it seems now.

Vicky is quite popular I think though? She's funny, takes NO prisoners and was a lot of fun in the Australian series. In fairness her popularity did probably dip in her last series with Ricky, but most of the anger was directed at him for being such a bellend. She came out on top during the last series without him imo. Would love to see her in the house next.

The idea of another GS person going on will be ridiculous and I hope BB realise this. We all knew Charlotte would win, as you can't have someone who is currently that popular, with so many twitter followers, and expect anyone else to win. It just isn't going to happen.

That weakened the show so fundamentally it can't carry on like this. It's either all current people, with twitter followings of similar strengths, or it's all has-beens.

It certainly gave him a shot in the arm, although he'd had an award for his stand-up just a couple of years previously and done the John Smith's ads around that time. (Thank you Wikipedia.)

I think I heard that he always blocked them using footage of CBB1 in trailers etc because it was supposed to be a charity thing and not commercial (don't know if that's true).

These days he does I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue on the radio, of course.
