Micheal never really made an effort with anybody, most of his scenes were with Janine, Alfie and Co!

I would have thought Janine would have brought Scarlet.

A painful, slow death would be lovely.

I still think they're making a huge mistake killing off such a brilliantly complex character, EE will never learn by killing off it's best characters.

Charlie said in May she wasn't leaving in the foreseeable future, this article is more current. She has made it no secret that she would like to try other avenues.

It's such a shame Steve wanted to leave, Michael is brilliant, by far the best male in the show. Really going to miss him, so many good characters gone now, Tanya, Zabnab Jean, now Michael.

All but Pat and Bradley were villains or did evil acts they all received their comeuppance some better than others, I do like Michael but killing him off is the best decision they could make.

LOL. I don't like Michael and I'm glad he's leaving. It will be good to see the actor who plays him in other roles. He was good at playing Michael as a creepy weirdo. I'm not surprised hardly anyone goes to his funeral.

They seem to be dropping like flies.. EE are the absolute masters at killing off decent characters. Writing a plausible exit storyline seems beyond them so the majority of characters end up in a box

Quite interesting to see that Alice, Jack/Max nor Roxy were present... Janine obviously is the biggest shocker but we can presume that they don't part on good terms. Alice was infatuated with Michael, Jack and Max grew up with him and Roxy has a weird, pitiful friendship with him. I know it's probably pivotal and helps build the road for Kat and Alfie, but really?

Janine also visits Michael's grave:

Pathetic. Killing off one of their best characters.

Kind of like how they killed off Steve Owen

Are we really supposed to buy the fact that Alice could possibly be the next soap 'killer' ? EE will surpass itself in the shit stakes IF this happens..

Isn't it rather strange that not one of Michael's immediate family turns up at the funeral i.e. Eddie, Tyler, Anthony, Frankie etc..

I know Eddie didn't have much time for him before he left but Michael and Tyler patched things up and got on quite well until Tyler left, Ive never been a fan of Michael but its rather sad that none of his family are returning for his funeral

The writers could have atleast brought back Tyler or even introduced his sister Frankie

I don't think she kills him. I think she says/does something which leads to him killing himself. Possibly something to do with Scarlett.

If Alice just became a killer it would be so ridiculous. It's one thing to be a kleptomaniac, but it's another thing entirely to be a killer, it doesn't fit into Alice's character at all, so I hope the writers don't go down that road.

the excuse for tyler and anthony will probably be that they are still working on the cruise ship and its at sea when the funeral is on. Frankie could be uncontactable if Alfie doesnt have her number or know where she is. Eddie might not care and he may not even tell craig or frankie

What a sad excuse for a funeral. I couldn't help like Michael despite everything he did. No one deserves such a terrible send off (with a few exceptions). If Charlie is leaving then I don't blame her. Her material has been awful and she's been underused. I hope Janine is the one to kill Michael and not drippy Alice.

It's not going to go down at all well with Michael fans.. I suppose the exact way in which he is departing compensates for this poor show of an exit in the producer's eyes
Fair enough if SJS wished to leave, at least give his character a decent send off! After an initially wobbly start, Michael made a huge impact on the square and quickly became one of the best characters Walford has ever seen, despite the fact he's a Moon! It's unrealistic and a total injustice to SJS and the fans The show will suffer without him and if they think Snarl is an adequate replacement then they are living in la la land.
