The Doctor's appearance really is as inconstant as his intelligence?

The Doctor slapping Clara's butt with a towel was definitely one of the greatest moments in the last series. I think he's the first Doctor since Jon Pertwee to give 'a jolly good smacked bottom' (William Hartnell) to a companion.

Oops I have forgotten exactly what it was he said!
Something about it all being the Doctor's fault (I think).

I guess it was: "But this is the truth, Doctor. You take ordinary people and you fashion them into weapons" or something along those lines, but I'm not sure if that was the OPs point?

Yes, but maybe you could enlighten those of us who haven't seen it as to what Davos was right about? Thanks.

Mmmmmm - over 24 hours ago now - just right about the Doctor being to blame for whatever had just happened, whatever it was.
