Dennis' Grave- EE
vaslav37

One thing that should have happened when Sharon returned was a visit to Dennis' Grave.

I certainly think a visit to Dennis' grave with Dot is long overdue- it seems obvious that this should happened by now.

You can't expect Sharon to remember where Dennis's grave is when she doesn't remember Dennis himself!

Thats why this should have been explored last year - when she returned.

Its all so shoddy on the behalf of the writers- it would have been good to have seen Sharon and Dot (who Dennis was very fond of) visit his grave.

I expected more from Sharon and Dot given the Dennis connection. I hoped Dot would be like a grandmother to Denny but obviously that's out the window. Too busy with her Branning relations and the idiotic Fatboy and Poppy.

I would have moved Sharon and Denny in with Dot...

Dennis as we know was very fond of Dot and Dot of course has known Sharon since she was baby growing up in the Vic with Den and Angie.

Its terrible that this version of Sharon has no recollection of her life on the Square before August 2012.

I'd love to see Dot and Sharon have more of a relationship, especially as Dot was close to Dennis,

BIB - In fairness the people you just mentioned have been quite good to Dot over the last 7 years while Sharon was in America (and the gutter apparently). They are her family and her housemates. I dont really think Dot should suddenly prioritise Sharon ahead of them just because she has returned. Things have changed and Dot considers herself a grandmother to most of Jim's grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.

Anyway according to people on here Sharon, Denny and Dot do have a storyline together:
Spoiler
The gist of it seems to be that Dot looks after Denny for the day and tells Sharon what a brat he is but Sharon doesnt want to hear it.

Although I don't like FatBoy I do like his friendship with Dot.

You can't say there's been no mention of Dennis, in her first few weeks she broke down in front of all The Square on the spot where Dennis died, she told Denny his father died in a helicopter incident or something I seem to recall?

In fairness, her mother's grave managed to move from a regular graveyard in 2002 to what looked like a plot in the allotments when Den returned in 2003 so Lord knows where Dennis is buried at this stage.

In all honesty, I don't think it's all that.

Dot had a much more stronger and believable chemistry with Dennis Rickman and Nigel Bates. It really did feel like a mother and son relationship at times.

Fatboy and Dot are just nice but they're not a strong friendship IMO.

Yeah it was mentioned but the way it was played, it felt like EE were ticking a box. None of Sharons grief or rememberance of Dennis has felt organic if that makes sense. However I say that for her rememberence of most past characters. I did like the scene where her stuff dropped on the spot Dennis was murdered though. That came from a place that felt real.

Can't we just have a general Sharon thread, rather than endless threads all amounting to the same thing that Sharon has been treated badly by the writing team.
