I think it's hilarious how you feel you can pigeon-hole everyone who doesn't like the sound of the show to one kind of person.

To be fair, anybody that is in support of Charlotte has been pigeon-holed to within and inch of their lives on here over the last couple of days.

I'm scum evidently

How about snobs? That hasn't been thrown onto the mix yet by the defenders of her hideous dysfunctional behaviour Is she something to be lauded, I find that cruel and sad.

Blimey, that's ironic.

Even just as a Geordie Shore viewer, rather than a Charlotte supporter (I wanted Abz to win), I'm "vile", "scum", "immature", "deluded" and "thick". Feels good

It's sad.

We can't help who or what we like.

I don't think anyone does. Its just light TV, something not to take seriously, etc. No-one's claimed to live their life by it.

I've never watched a single episode of it, or even a trailer.

But I find shows where people pee and defecate on each other and sleep with half of Newcastle absolutely disgusting - it's just sick filth imho

(I don't mind plate throwing, in fact I quite enjoy it.)

So why do you think this happens if you have never watched it

Because plates are designed like frisbees - perfect for throwing

Maybe because misslibertine, who claims to have watched every episode, mentioned it. I can't find any other reference on this thread.

When this utter C*** first started I mistakenly thought by the title it was a documentary about Newcastle where I was born and grew up. Stupidly I tuned in. I was so saddened that this was supposed to be representative of the young people of the City. Moronic behaviour and drivel. I assure you they are the chav minority, who no doubt every City has. I choose not to have the underbelly of society in my life.

I would have thought the fact that it's on MTV would have been a clue that it's not a documentary.

I have watched every episode - its hardly an outrageous boast

The things I listed are things a lot of anti-Charlotte posters, who have never watched the show, have incorrectly said she's done. Not things she actually has done.

is the reason they all puke and defacate and dribble superbly because it's based on the life of Paul Gascoigne?

I came across the title when I was watching TV in bed. Channel hopping during ads. I am partially sighted and
really didn't notice the channel.I just felt really sad that this was what people may think was representative of young adults in the great City of Newcastle.

I doubt anyone really thinks that. They're hardly a cross-section of the city's young people, just a certain stereotype that I imagine exists in every one of Britain's cities.

I hope so. The North East gets such a bad press usually and it's disheartening. In the City centre the place to avoid is the Bigg Market street, where all the drunken trouble usually kicks off. As you say the same applies to many Cities in Britain.

A word of warning to you. There is another programme on MTV called 'Jersey Shore'.

It is not a documentary about Jersey

I wouldn't worry, I come from the Valleys and we have our stereotypes (and accompanying TV show) to fight against.
