I don't think anyone does. Its just light TV, something not to take seriously, etc. No-one's claimed to live their life by it.

When this utter C*** first started I mistakenly thought by the title it was a documentary about Newcastle where I was born and grew up. Stupidly I tuned in. I was so saddened that this was supposed to be representative of the young people of the City. Moronic behaviour and drivel. I assure you they are the chav minority, who no doubt every City has. I choose not to have the underbelly of society in my life.

I would have thought the fact that it's on MTV would have been a clue that it's not a documentary.

I came across the title when I was watching TV in bed. Channel hopping during ads. I am partially sighted and
really didn't notice the channel.I just felt really sad that this was what people may think was representative of young adults in the great City of Newcastle.

I doubt anyone really thinks that. They're hardly a cross-section of the city's young people, just a certain stereotype that I imagine exists in every one of Britain's cities.

I hope so. The North East gets such a bad press usually and it's disheartening.In the City centre the place to avoid is the Bigg Market street, where all the drunken trouble usually kicks off. As you say the same applies to many Cities in Britain.

A word of warning to you. There is another programme on MTV called 'Jersey Shore'.
