This poses me with somewhat of a dilemma...
I couldn't stand Charlotte as a HM (though I did see some redeeming qualities in her), nor the 'type' of youth ideal she and her kind of 'entertainment' promotes.
However, I have to admit having had my share of jolly old times many years back where I pulled relative strangers and enjoyed a holiday fling or two, and did once wake up in my apartment toilet, clearly having slept in my own vom, with the Greek cleaner quite rightly going ballistic at me
It's not that I despise any individual for acting in these deplorable ways - our society has for decades been advocating and advertising such behaviour and it's *that* which I take issue with. Having been affected by it myself, seeing others affected by it, seeing it's negative impact on society, I just can't (now I'm all grown up and mature, like) ignore the impact such irresponsible glorification by these types of programmes of damaging behaviour has up and down the country.
I have a problem with these Geordie Shore type programmes - but the individuals participating are only a product of *our* society. I think it's not only fair, but a necessity for people to openly criticise these behaviours - but referring to people like Charlotte as a 'subspecies' and the other nasty stuff slung about is *not* the way to go about remedying the situation IMO.
