Isn't she plastered all over The Sun today, oh dear. Talking about her 'romps'.

Um - to be honest, I don't think we are on the same page at all. Many people seem to take a simplistic 'defend or attack' approach - but it isn't that simple IMO. When people label others as 'fools', 'idiots', 'sub-species' etc, well, I just think how much those people who opt to express derision are just as guilty of perpetuating such divisions and entrenching the very problems they are so vocal about, as those who have been raised to think such behaviour is acceptable. Two sides of the same coin.

It often amazes me how so very many people seem to be so utterly unaware of how others live - and not through choice as such, but through the way they have been raised in *our* society.

The notion that castigating and ridiculing people for behaviour they have been taught will somehow remedy the problematic behaviour is absurd IMO.

Maybe they ended up in the freezer.

It just seemed to me to be a collection of Jeremy Kyle types being paid to act as outrageously and crudely as possible. It's not the sort of show I would want to watch but if others find it entertaining that's up to them - we all have different tastes.”

This is interesting. I don't see Charlotte and her ilk as 'Jeremy Kyle types'. In fact I see quite a distinction between how stereotypically these two groups are perceived and don't much overlap.

What Happens in Kavos C4
The Magaluf Weekender ITV2
Sun, Sex and Suspicious Parents BBC3

Just 3 of the programmes that are on our TV schedules at the moment. All concerning the behaviour of men and women whilst drunk, all abroad. I've seen a couple of episodes of the Kavos one, an embarrassing display of the behaviour of young people on holiday in Kavos and the medical attention they constantly seek!

There seems to be a fascination with showing young people and their extreme bad behaviour - and presumably there's a fascination with viewers or else these shows wouldn't be made. The question is, why aren't there any programmes being made showing the many positive aspects of the youth of today?

Geordie Shore, The Valleys and the many other shows of their ilk aren't responsible for the state of SOME of our youth, or for their behaviour, they reflect some of what's going on out there - one side of what's going on. For some strange reason people want to watch it, so TV producers are merely pandering to what seems to be a market for this kind of show.

Me personally, I live in posh Royal Bath - and I only have to stick my head out of the window on a Thursday/Friday/Saturday night to see this behaviour, without the need of wasting electricity turning on my TV!

Perpetuating it would be going along with it and claiming it happened. I was saying it hadn't. I can't help which comments and threads you've seen and which you haven't. The poster below you and the poster I was speaking to at the time both had.

Lies can be perpetuated just as easily as truths.

As I have seen, on this thread and others throughout the series, which is why I was clarifying what has never actually happened on Geordie Shore.
