After his stint on Celebrity Big Brother, it seems Bruce Jones has started to try to piece his personal life back together and attempt to get his career back on track.
Is there room on Coronation Street for Les Battersby to return or has Bruce had his day?
I'm a great supporter of the underdogs in this world. I'd like to see him do good

Well there is Leanne still around and Chesney so he has connections. Don't know whether there's really anywhere to go with the character of Les though. A short stint to find out what really happened with him and Stella may work, but nothing lengthy.

Dear god No!!! He had to be the worst Actor ever in CS. You could see him waiting to SHOUT VERY LOUDLY his reply to his co-star's line before his co-star had even said it.

Didn't he burn his bridges with Granada?

He did!

For some on Corrie this is a very credible style of acting.

I wouldn't mind him back in very small doses to have a few scenes with Stella and Leanne.

I don't think he'll return because it would make the idea of Stella sleeping with him seem even more ridiculous!! At the moment, at least we can sort of forget what Les was like...

I think Les and/or Cilla and/or Battersby mum can't remember her name...

And let's face it, Eddie Windass was a pretty poor man.

I liked Les, but for him to fit in these days it would take some pretty good writing.

I think he had a few memorable moments. Les, Cilla and Schmeichel falling through the ceiling in a hot tub was hilarious.

Les's most memorable moment occurred when he was written out.

An offscreen death for him would be fine by me.

Surely the other way round? Eddie was more likeable sure, better acted certainly, but Les was the better character overall.

I don't think he has a place in the show anymore. I think they missed their opportunity to address the Stella-Les situation, and I can't see anything more he has to add to the show. It would be nice to see him in a recurring capacity I suppose, finally being a supportive father to Leanne in times of crisis, like now for instance. Her husband's in a coma, yet none of her family seem to care. But anything more than a few episodes a year? No thank you.

But Les was in it first. And was a better character. Eddie didn't have much personality, except for being lazy.

You know what would be wonderful, and I'm thinking out loud here, is if Les found love off-screen with Jackie Dobbs. Then both could make very occasional pop up appearances together when necessary to Leanne and Tyrone's stories. It would be good fun.

He was a total embarrassment on the after show when he was evicted from the BB house. On a panel with three women, all far more intelligent than him, so tried to redress the balance with smutty, juvenile sexist comments. Unemployable in any society with any idea of equality and morals.

He had a great comedy double act going on with Kirk. I'd love to see him back reunited with Kirk and Chesney and to bore everyone with tales of his time with Status Quo! The actor I'd most like to see back however is Bradley Walsh as Danny Baldwin. BRING BACK BRUCE AND BRADLEY!!

I'm probably not the first to point this out(and am sure you DS archivists will let me know) but Eddie Windass and Les Battersby were both in The Full Monty.

Was Bruce Jones in it? I don't remember that, though I do remember the Eddie actor. What part did Bruce play?

He auditioned to be a stripper but inexplicably was turned down.

Terrible actor, and there is no place for the character now.
