In other news Ian Botham will be working for Channel Ten on their coverage of the Big Bash while in Australia
Very unusual - has he ever commentated on any Twenty20 games, domestic or international, before? The money must be good for him to be doing this gig.

Half the time it doesn't seem he really wants to be there during Test matches and he never does domestic games in England, so either the money is very good or they just are looking for something to pass the time while in Australia

Is the Big Bash going to be on Sky again this year?

According to the Sky Guide they will be, mostly on Sky Sports 3

Will be worth tuning in if you have the chance, been a good tournament so far.

That is a bit of a surprise. Pretty sure he doesn't commentate on the T20 Internationals on Sky because he's not a big fan of the format.

Exactly. It's pretty obvious he thinks it's "Mickey Mouse" cricket, so he'll have to suppress his genuine thoughts while he's commentating on the Big Bash. It'll probably sound quite odd with "forced" enthusiasm - might be worth tuning in just to see how he copes!

To be honest I think he'll enjoy it as he's working with old chums like Sir Viv Richards..........whether Botham;s commentary will actually be any good is another matter!

I'm sure the nice big fee he'll almost certainly be getting will soften the blow.

Besides, the games only last 3 hours. I'd have thought that would be ideal for his busy schedule of playing golf, drinking wine, fishing etc.

probably navjot singh sidhu, he is pretty shit in the english commentary version, but brilliant in the hindi versions.
he is popular for his hindi commentary mainly because of his metaphors and similes, but it sounds better when it is in hindi, but not in English.

Did Sky have any studio presentation for the T20 qualifiers today or did they just take the host feed?
