Have been watching the Corrie box sets. It's so surreal to see the characters from years ago who are still on the show now and how they have developed. Emily Bishop was a barmaid in the Rovers lol
Have found out lots of other facts I wasn't aware of. The continuity of Coronation Street is amazing.
Does anyone have any memories or facts from the programme that we may have forgotten which could be of interest now?
While i'm going down memory lane, big shout out for Betty Driver, she was great in some of the earlier episodes

When the show started, the Barlow family were so 'real' that it felt like they were living next door to us.

Peter Barlow was on the point of raping Liz McDonald in the Rovers one night but everyone seems to have forgotten. Not sure that will be in the box set.

Forgot all about that.
Just watched the first tram crash on Corrie. Things have changed, lol

Have watched some of this too. Just seen Emily's husband being shot. Dramatic stuff really. Emily was a good little actress back in the day.

It's good to watch some of the older characters background stories play out. I watched Bettys storyline with her sister bringing up her son and him finding out. Was really well acted actually, would put most of them to shame now. As for Liz Mcdonald, if they bring Jim back and give them both a strong storyline, it could be amazing. Her and Jim have delivered some great classic scenes.

It's pretty ironic how Peter's with Carla then.
No wonder Liz seems to hate Peter

At least you knew the content would be good, not like now where episodes can come and go and nothing really happens.
