My skills lie in admin, and I constantly apply for admin jobs but hear nothing, I live in Grimsby and I registered with Staffline to worm in a Fish Factory, 6-2 shift .So I do that, but luckily my Staffline representative is understanding and I told her about my administration skills and she is going to call me up into the office to do admin when people are on holiday etc, so I still do the occasional admin, working 6-2 in a fish factory is bloody boring and I can do so much better, I only intend for this job to be short term, afterall it's easier to get a job when you're already in a job so this is better than nothing
Admin jobs are actually quite hard to get, since companies prefer to employ people who have experience in their specific field. I think a lot of companies are put off me because I have IT/Web development experience on my CV and they wonder why I don't do that. I've got some telephone/ customer support experience but I'm really not up for a full on 100 call a day call centre job. I did see a careers advisor and she helped me start thinking about transferable skills and creating better CV's . |

Hey guys, can anyone tell me what the Work Programme is really like? I'm due to start it next week and I'm nervous due to the horror stories.
