No idea, never been myself. Never had the notion
Haha. Me neither. The idea of it seems a bit, well, naff.

But I would love to hear Nicholas sing live. Damn me and my self-defeating snobbishness!

Yeah that would be quite something, then being able to watch the whole XF thing unfold afterwards.

Slightly updated story regarding Nicky leaving school. The last quote from the head teacher sounds very promising…

"We were delighted to hear he has had a tremendous amount of interest from the record industry to sign and he is now in extensive talks with them so that he can decide his future pathway.”

That sounds very promising. I really do get the feeling things are on the up for him.

He's in the papers again today - an update of Garage story with a video interview before the gig and after gig celebration with his friends and family. He looks totally hyper in this - not surprisingly!

Thanks for that link. He constantly impresses me how he just seems to take it all in his stride, he seems to have such a good attitude about it all, excited but grounded too.

Yup very much so. Can't help feeling he was born to do this tbh.

On a separate note, I miss sycamore's essays. Come back to us, sycamore! STEP AWAY FROM THE LUKE!

*A wild [drunk] sycamore appears*

Say it three times and I appear behind you and kill all your friends, apparently It's an ancient witch curse, not my fault at all, honest guv.

You guys are lovely, I've been lurking and reading but didn't think I should be s**ting up your thread with my eternal babbling. But yay, carte blanche!

Thanks guys, so long as you don't mind me babbling away and mentioning Luke at every opportunity, I'd love to stay and chat This thread clearly has a better class of poster, after all (not as good as Luke's OBVIOUSLY but extremely fine )

STEP AWAY FROM THE LUKE!
Not. A. Chance

Happy New Year guys, hope you have an absolutely lovely one and every happiness in 2014 <3 xx

Completely agree, two brilliant kids that deserve to have two amazing futures waiting for them. I'm looking forward to seeing what they both do, it ought to be a good year if they both live up to their potential

Great to see Nicky's concerts are selling out so fast, I hope he gets some more arranged, especially some outside scotland, from twitter it certainly seems he'd get a great audience (and a joint Nick & Luke gig would be great!).

Happy New Year everyone.

And good to have you back sycamore (even if I did just happen to read an old thread to see that you had said Nicky was the weaker than RC! HOW DARE YOU!)

And yep, would be good to see both Nick and Luke doing well from the show. I'm certainly more interested to see what Luke gets up to than 'our' competent but resolutely unexciting winner. And Nicky, well as far as I'm concerned he's the stand-out this year. Both he and Luke have so much potential to grow so could be a very interesting 2014 to see what happens for them

Indeed Happy New Year Sean, and everyone

Happy New Year everyone.

*shameface* To be fair, RC were my big big pre-live favourites, I really wanted them to do well, for far longer than they deserved. Plus it's 3am on new year's night and I'm deep into listening to Bauhaus, I think that tells you all you need to know

Word, they're hardly going to be trampling on each others' territory so there's no need for rivalry, just for hoping they both shine like they deserve. Bright, like diamonds *Rhianna mode*

Now see, now you've encouraged me and I'm spamming again, sorry

More than anything I would love for Luke and Nicholas to remain great friends, after all the X Factor business is done and dusted

Bauhaus? BAUHAUS? Oh my dear lord!

How anyone rated RC at any stage in the competition I'll really never understand. They were bad every single time I heard them perform. There's only so much you can do with a group with one member who has the tuning of a Baroque era harpsichord.

I'll forgive you re Nicky, if only because you've said nice things since And I do enjoy your contributions when you're not being mean. About Nicky, I mean. You can be mean about anyone else you like

Also, I failed to pick up on the Rihanna thing. In the same post as Bauhaus. Rihanna AND Bauhaus. There's a special ring in hell for that sort of union.

Agreed I'd like them to do a duet, something with bits that suited Luke's harshness and Nick's sweetness, it could be amazing if it was the right song.

Bauhaus? BAUHAUS? Oh my dear lord!
I know If it helps, I've moved on to Gorillaz I WILL NOT HEAR A WORD AGAINST GORILLAZ DON'T EVEN best band in the world, ever ever ever, love them sooooo much.

Ahem.

I know their tuning was hardly great (massive understatement), but I liked their chutzpah and I thought they were doing cheesy stuff to get past the judges and were going to do better stuff later on - and obviously I was proven very wrong. And I always loved Nicky, he was just a bit (massive understatement) MOR for me, and then shafted by the show (massive understatement). He and RC were my favourites from the audition rounds, and up to the second/third live show.

I'll forgive you re Nicky, if only because you've said nice things since And I do enjoy your contributions when you're not being mean. About Nicky, I mean. You can be mean about anyone else you like
Lol. In that case I suppose I'll forgive you the less than generous comments you've made about the wonderful Luke 'Forgive them for they do not understand their errors', etc...

Also, I failed to pick up on the Rihanna thing. In the same post as Bauhaus. Rihanna AND Bauhaus. There's a special ring in hell for that sort of union.
Welcome to hell, my name is Sycamore I'll be your ringmaster tonight...

Don't know if any of you know the View, but I could imagine Nick doing stuff like that, very very well.

He desperately needs to have the right people around him, that's what'll make or break his career. I honestly do hope it all works out for him.

I'll go back to lurk mode now.
