I got a ticket for Young Scot after all. Never been to an awards show before, so I thought why not? Nicky is due on around 9.30 ish, and I'm possibly more excited than he is very little detail about it on Twitter etc”

I was thinking of starting like a fan forum for him, for that sort of stuff, but like you say, it should be on his website!

The McD mangement could just take a look how others do, e.g.:
http://www.elyarfox.com/home
- with dates of signing sessions
- with dates of tour events...

However, doing things professionally costs money... and that has to come from somewhere.

You should! I imagine you'd be very good at running something like that.

Jedward do seem to have fallen off the radar somewhat since Louis stopped managing them.”

Jedward are totally self driven, Louis was steering them into a direction they weren't happy with.

Since leaving him, they've toured Australia. appeared on prime time Canadian and Australian tv, featured in The Rolling Stone etc

They've even appeared on UK and Irish TV performing acoustically, with John playing guitar.

They also create all their own music videos, which get played around they world.

Simon never did a thing for them after XF

They are just about to release their 4th album, which they have written and produced themselves.

They may not be popping up on reality TV or panel shows anymore, but they are gaining a steady global presence. All off their own backs!

I would put £1.000,000 on Luke winning that award.

The fact they're "doing things professionally" for Elyah Fox says more than enough about the music industry right now. If he ever releases a fantastic track with widespread appeal then I will give him credit. His problem is that he's basically appealing to the same market as Nicky. The irony is Elyah has the budget, but Nicky's got the vocals.

I saw a bit of the video to A Billion Girls this morning - it was halfway through the video when I flicked onto the channel and from what I heard, it sounded like a girl was singing until his face appeared on screen. I changed the channel about 2 seconds later.

Who will do the most efforts for mobilizing voters? RCA could set-up a big action, but since there is no new album of Nicky expected in the shops shortly, they may even not give a damn.

I don't get why the website hasn't been updated. In the grand scheme of things a decent website doesn't cost that much to put together.

All that needs to be said is the Nicholas Mcdonald is FABULOUS live. I'd go and see him again in a heartbeat.

He strolled onstage and opened his mouth and sang, and his voice filled the room. He has the presence of Sinatra with that same cool assurance in his voice, no need to sweat it. He did Angel, then 1000 years. I was a bit disappointed when Angel started, having hoped for something different, but then he started singing, and it didn't matter.

Elyar was good, with lots of energy and great dance moves and performance, but Nick has a quality that will last and last.

Quite smitten

Oh I know!! How to get to sleep tonight

I'm a bit taken aback tbh, I thought he'd be good but he was GREAT. He's just going to get better and better and better.

I took some footage, but I wasn't in the best seat. I'll have a proper look at the weekend and see if it's worth uploading. STV are putting the show out on 17th at 9pm. It's weird how these things are really run for the benefit of TV - the, admittedly cute, presenter sort of paused for his camera cue before each bit, and for all the world it looked like he was waiting for someone to switch him on each time. Fixed glaze, than springing into life It amused me anyway

I honestly do believe that he will just go from strength to strength. There are some on here who are a bit prone to hand wringing (you know who you are!) but saying that I do totally understand their exasperation at such a talent not being acknowledged by those in the industry.
Will check out the show on the 17th. Hope to see your footage before

Heheh. Join the club!

Great to hear back and glad you enjoyed it! Did he say anything when he won his award or was the ceremony not in that format?

You know, that's exactly what I thought when I went to see the XF tour. I was there to see Nicky, obviously, and I was excited because of that. But he blew me away and it was wonderful to hear him in person. His voice is just extraordinarily beautiful and he has such command over it and all the nuances he brings. I still don't think he realises quite how good he is and how good he can be and that's frustrating but, by God, he's one gifted kid.
